Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
That sounds incredibly frustrating but I’m glad you’re on the mend.

Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
Thank you. I'm guessing it's better to rest up and let it heal before throwing myself back into it. Hopefully it won't be that bad but I did my back in in 2012 and it took a good six weeks to get better!

Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
How is it feeling today?
I woke up with a sore knee after a bit of a niggle at the start of yesterday’s run. Ibuprofen seems to have sorted it and I got through BFBM without it playing up. it’s OK tomorrow, I’m supposed to be running with MrTex, his first full 5K since the plantar fasciitis struck.

Oh no! It's injury city with us lot! I'm glad your knee held up for BFBM and hope it remains good for tomorrow's run.
Better again today than yesterday so that's good! I'm still taking painkillers - just over the counter ones - but not as many/ as often as I needed to before as it does feel tender but I think I'll be ok by next week. I have walked for 40 minutes today and while it wasn't at my usual fast pace, it was not slow and not limping.

I’m back! Sorry you’re both injured! Hope you feel better soon.
Just did w2d4. Need to get back in the routine and for some reason I’m determined to do ten W2s even though I hate it

She'll be bouncing a dime off your buttocks in no time.
Have you done your run with MrTex yet?

No, we’re going during A’s football training this evening by which time I hope it will have stopped raining.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It's torrential here currently. How's your knee at the moment?

It’s been fine today thanks. It was the one I bashed on the dishwasher handle the other day so maybe it was partly protest about that.

Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
We ran. No further injuries but may not be able to walk tomorrow. There was a horrible uphill section near the beginning and then another 3k which was mostly uphill so no chance of recovery. The last km was fun though

It all sounds hideous. I'm glad you both held up though.

Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
How long has it been since Mr Tex was last able to run?
It's really aching so it's worse than yesterday but I think that's because I've been relatively stationary today. I'm hoping for a return to exercise on Monday though.

It’s the first anniversary of his last 5K. He’s been building up to it over the last few weeks with an accelerated couch to 5K.
for Monday.

NMTZ done. 294 calories and I’ve now discovered that it was probably the backward lunges which made my knee twinge.
