I mean, it could all change just like *that*, as we know, but for now I'm accepting that for now the only way I'll get an earlier second jab is as a walk-in.

Hurrah for Mr C!

Apparently 6 months yesterday since Margaret Keenan had her jab. Now rolling out to 25yr olds. What humans can do when they throw their effort, money and goodwill at something is amazing.

S (26) booked his today :frolic: First this Thursday and second on 27th August. I teared up a bit when he messaged to tell me - I must have been more worried than I thought.

I got my second appointment through today too, also 8 weeks after the first. I was surprised to see the blue envelope.

That’s cheered me up no end, sal and Heebie! My first jab floored me for a week and if the second was 12 weeks later it’d be a bit too close to my due date for my liking.

My S booked hers today also - she turned 25 yesterday :))

I’ve had my second (Az) today too.

Excellent news, Edith, Sal and Heebie!

I just rang the pharmacy that run the local place and they're doing AZ walk-ins next week all day on Monday and Tuesday. Monday morning, I know where I'll be.

Can you remind me when you had your first, Rebs? Also, is it the church?

I had my first on April 14th so I'm exactly 8 weeks today. She said they're offering second AZ doses to anyone over 40 and over 8 weeks.

Yep, the church. Oh and there may be a Wednesday session as well, plus they're still doing the end of day leftovers thing but that's more pot luck.

We’ve got the same here, Rebs; AZ walk ins for anyone over 40 and/or 8 weeks post first jab.

It's a good local solution to the rigidity of the national booking system now that second doses have become more urgent.

Yes, do. I barely had to queue, and it's such a relief not to have to think about it any more (getting it done rather than covid itself IYSWIM).

Hurrah Rebs! Mr C is now double jabbed too. He was in and out in less than 5 mins, very impressive.
