I got a text yesterday cancelling my second jab. So I logged on to re-book and got a date two weeks earlier!

I'm glad you got one sooner, but why on earth did they cancel it?

Bringing up the rear :flirt: I am now first-jabbed :perky:

Things have clearly moved on from people being incorrectly turned away for being pregnant, or told they need a letter from their doctor etc - I am very visibly pregnant now (29 weeks) and it just meant I got some extra leaflets and questions. They also mentioned it’s now around 8 weeks for the next appointment to come through, so that’s filtering through too.

That's great news, Leap!

PSA for my fellow 40-49 year olds!

I was just chatting on Nextdoor complimenting the walk in service and the chap who is involved with it said he thought the national guidelines changed AGAIN yesterday and now over 40s who had AZ are allowed to bring their second appointments forward to 8 weeks.

He agreed that it would be better to phone 119 to check before zapping your booked appointment though. Also not sure how it applied to Pfizer and Moderna, as we were explicitly talking about AZ.

Some of my (young) team members in India are starting to get their vaccines now. I'm glad to hear other countries are getting there too.

My BIL in Spain has just had his first jab.

Has anyone heard of Moderna recipients having their second jab brought forward? I’ve gone past 8 weeks and am thinking of phoning up next week as I don’t want to cancel my 12 week appointment.

I would phone now, Squiz, and see what they say.

It's very good news about other countries - your BIL and india too.

I am filling in urgent forms this afternoon 😭. Well I’m not, I’m clearly procrastinating on here, but I do need to get back to it.

You could procrastinate on hold to 119.

Anyway I hope you can get an earlier jab. Other than logistics/supply, I can't see why non-AZ recipients should be excluded.

I haven’t heard anything about Moderna, only AZ.

I just called 119 to check. They said it's still just over 50s than can move their second jabs forward - a change in age criteria hasn't been announced to the call handlers there yet.

Yes, we had something at work this week saying pregnancy and breastfeeding were no longer concerns which is great news.

I don’t think Moderna is available in that many locations and is being given out to the younger people so I don’t know if it’ll be possible to bring the dates forward as easily.

Yes, AZ is much easier because nobody under 40 is getting it.
