Also, that was weird. Could they not have put her family a tad closer to the centre?

Raducanu was bleeding everywhere, it’s not like she did it to gain an advantage.

I am delighted to see that pretty much my entire twitter timeline, which is a very diverse bunch, was watching the tennis. Channel 4’s viewing figures must be through the roof :))

Not like at Wimbledon where they have made a convenient gate.

No qualifier (male or female) has ever reached a grand slam final, let alone gone on to win it.

It must be very hard to be a teenage starlet that's come from nowhere and be beaten by... a teenage starlet that's come from nowhere

Well I am not a tennis fan but that was amazeballs. Brilliant play from both young women.

Amazing! I guess Fernandez was upset at having her rhythm interrupted but there was blood dripping down Raducanu’s leg; they had to stop to sort that out.

It’s such a shame Fernandez got so upset about something that was unavoidable. It’s one of the few things that have shown her age.

What amazing tennis though!

It was bad timing to stop but it had to happen. She’s already bled through the dressing!
