Chunk’s tested positive this morning. He’s completely asymptomatic.

I’ve got a scratchy throat and have tested negative.

Oh no Pip. Is Squeak allowed out?

I tested neg and am assuming the new 5 day isolation rule applies.

We’ve had another message saying there have been multiple cases now at vacation care last week. Kids seem totally fine for now thankfully.

I hope you avoid it, Pip!

Not yet, she’s still got a faint line (day 7). I’m so fed up of it all.

I don’t think I want to avoid it any more, not having it is harder than having it right now. Assuming it’s mild etc.

Fingers crossed you avoid it.

Mr D's just received a positive PCR, he's planning on fully enjoying his week off with a lot of reading and watching TV

He also said omicron seems to effect upper respiratory tracts which is partly why people have been less ill with it. Alpha and delta targeted the lower respiratory tract. So that seems positive, if a little way off right now.
This is good to read. Thank you, Froozy.

I'm glad you're on the mend Duo and hope that Mr D and Squeak don't feel too lousy.

The Zoe app also requested I go for a PCR today so two birds one stone.

I hope Squeak tests negative soon, Pip and all the positives have mild to no symptoms.

I’m waiting in a car park for M to have a covid test. There has been an outbreak at the boys school so they’ve been virtual since last Friday but one of the positive cases was a good friend of M’s.

He hasn’t eaten properly since Friday and is super lethargic but no temperature or other cold symptoms. He had a terrible cold when we left England 2 weeks ago but tested negative throughout - daily lateral flows and 2 PCRs.

My Trump supporting colleague has just had it and he was only newly vaccinated. Of course he hasn’t stopped going on about how he never had it until getting vaccinated :ella: He was pretty sick and I was so pleased to see him struggling on calls. :look:

M’s results aren’t back but he’s still not eating much and is feeling very sorry for himself. He asked if crying was a symptom of covid because if it is he definitely has it. / :ella:

Glad you're feeling ok, Pip. Poor M.

On the other end of the spectrum, Jack is in a huff because his LFT was negative and he wanted a week off school :ella:
