I hope that dr thinks on next time he thinks of making a suggestion like that to a woman who has had HG! What a tool.

Congrats Ken!

I had horrific acid reflux with Biggie and was on the highest dose they’d allow of Lansozaprole which was doing nothing and my midwife would come out with gems like “have you still got that heartburn thing? Maybe try some love hearts?”

Love hearts?! You really start to worry about these people's training.

You are all lovely. the GP appointment was a phone call, and I cried after I put the phone down, but I was really glad that I was able to stand up for myself. I spent so much time being fobbed off and patronised last time that I'm determined it will be different this time.

Unfortunately the sickness seems to really have ramped up in the last day or so, but I can still eat so will be fine if it doesn't get worse.

The chance of twins again is one in twelve generally after having one set of non identical, so more like 8%, although possibly slightly higher as I'm old. ;) So not big, as there's more chance of something going wrong with the pregnancy at this stage. It also increases the more kids you have which is why people with big families often end up with twins for pregnancy four or five. They didn't run in my family until Topsy and Tim, Dande. ;)

I welcome any comments about how 3 is just a breeze and you barely notice adding one more to your existing two. :look:

Although I can’t help with adding one to twins, I will dare to say this now that I’m 5 months in: so much of my second baby experience has been so much smoother and easier because of everything we learned first time around, and how much additional joy we get just from remembering how hard those lessons were and how we don’t need to go through that again

KENGRATULATIONS! :frolic:

I hope your HG doesn’t reappear. And if you have one I bet it will seem like a breeze after two at once. And if you have two more then you’ve already done that so no sweat. This definitely science. :teacher:

That's reassuring and lovely to hear that it's going so well! I'm slightly worried that I've forgotten everything about small babies now.

I hope the sickness gets under control quickly Ken. And subsequent babies are definitely a lot easier, especially after twins. Massive congratulations to you.

Oh Ken, I really hope the sickness doesn't get any worse.

It will definitely all come back to you and you'll feel much more confident this time.

Obviously I don’t have my first two at the same time, but my third really was a breeze!

You are already in a good routine with the other two, and they just sort of slot into it, they have to really. Practically raise themselves.

Me too with my third (and fourth). Congrats, Ken! I hope the sickness eases and that GP Thinks On.

I don't agree that the jump from two to three is a small one, but would argue that it definitely applies when 1 and 2 are simultaneous!
