Re: Covid-19
I sometimes wish I could “snooze” threads, and this would be a prime candidate, but overall I vote to keep it in some form.

Keep it, we'll need it for when the next strain hits us.

Re: Covid-19
I feel loads better but still have a cough/sore throat.
TBL was up in the night with a headache, sore throat and temperature and is feeling quite rough but calpol etc helps. He is happy to be at home with me though.

Oh no, Is. Hope he doesn't get it too badly.

Re: Covid-19
I certainly don't think it should be nuked. It's not quite Mass Observation but maybe it'll be dug reverentially out of a data archive one day by the Lucy Worsley or David Olusoga of the 22nd century.
But it is rather ugly in a lot of places so I can see why people would like it pushed to the back of the shelf for now.

Oh, I took so long to post that I missed that Is. Sorry to hear about TBL. Hope he gets better quickly.

I think it accurately reflects the turmoil and struggle we've all had over the last 24 months.

Poor little TBL, hope he continues to be not so unwell that he can't enjoy his at home status!
My great nephews have it, so have given it to their Father, and in turn their grandfather, so I should imagine my sister will have it by next week, and still be infectious for my imminent visit. Excellent timing!

Re: Covid-19
I actually re-read some of the earlier stuff on here recently and it actually did make me feel a bit better in a way (that we have actually progressed a bit even though it often doesn't feel like it).

We've progressed loads! (Even though I agree it doesn't feel like it - I'm definitely still on a high state of alert even though I know logically we're facing a massively decreased risk.)

I like Bats idea of a sparkly new 2022 Covid thread with one of her suggested titles.

I do think we're living through history. Maybe we'll be in a GCSE textbook in 50 years.
There are more than 12 kids down from Theo's class. He has no symptoms so we're doing LFTs daily - I'm strongly hoping he'll get lucky avoiding it since he only had it in October but I know it doesn't quite work like that! Fingers crossed he's got some protection at least.

Re: Covid-19
I wish I could get a sneak peek of how this pandemic will be written about in the history books in a couple of hundred years.
I don’t think this thread should go but I like the idea of locking it and have a new thread.

It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

Oh nooooo, Is! TBL! I really hope he doesn’t feel too rough with it and that you’re feeling better as soon as humanly possible.
Pete has had her first negative test today, fucking yee haa! It’s taken ten days to get to this point. I have my strongest positive yet and baby Neil is also still having strong positives. I am so fucking over all of this bullshit. Sorry to everyone still struggling. So, everyone, basically.

Also, I think a containment thread is a good idea too. Either this one or a new one.

Sorry to hear that, Is.
My youngest has mild symptoms, so homeschooling Friday again this week. It's frustrating. Again, I don't really think he has covid.

Re: Covid-19
I am going to go for the new thread option I think. This one won't be deleted or anything as people have said it's almost a historical source. Future history students might use it! But I will feel better myself not to have to keep being reminded about how long this has gone on for now, if that makes sense.
