This is a terrible photo of a delicious meal. Roast chicken and Jerusalem artichokes pilaf with toasted hazelnuts.

And here is C’s birthday cake. Squeak did the buttercream. She’s emulates my rustic styling.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
That Vicky sponge has got excellent height and I definitely would
I spent HOURS cooking a Chinese meal last night. I’d say it was about 66% successful, so not entirely sure it was worth the effort. It would have been better if we had more than one decent pan for stir frying, so I had to keep washing it out for the next dish
I also only got terrible photos as by the time it was ready we were starving  I made pak choy with mixed mushrooms, Yangzhou fried rice and beef with cumin (all fuschia Dunlop recipes), and some tomato egg. They are shop bought dumplings. I also made spring onion pancakes earlier in the week, but couldn’t face making a fresh batch.

Ours always looks like roadkill to ruby but it’s a very nice recipe. I admit I warm to it as all three of us love it and it saves the “well what do you want?!” Conversations I hate.
I’ve been to london three times and tried to get into dishoom three times abs failed, do they at least let you book now or not? (It looks lovely pip)

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
I once spent ages making a curry feast for my brother and he complimented the naan bread (which was the only thing we hadn't made  ) Hope the smacked cucumbers are still edible!
I made a rhubarb cake. I'm going to serve it with ginger custard tonight.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
There are chunks of rhubarb running through the cake as well as the stalks on top. It's very rhubarby.

This was fabulous - roasted cauli & caper pasta, the sauce is a mix of butter, oo, grated garlic, lemon zest and juice, cheese; so easy. recipe

I would like absley’s pasta followed by Emma’s cake, please.
I need to get my mojo back. I made a victoria sandwich on Friday and it wasn’t a patch on Pip and Squeak’s.
