It’s rife in Pete’s school again and getting her vaccinated is nigh on impossible. We’ve had her letter to say she’s been identified as clinically vulnerable and needs a vaccine. I can’t book it online, 119 can’t book it on the phone and her GP surgery have told me they’re not ordering any more vaccines so they won’t do it. Consensus is it’s their responsibility but they’re not doing it. I called her cardiac team who were really fed up and told me a lot of their patients are going through the same thing. So I might have to take her to Liverpool to get her vaccinated if they get enough vaccines to do it, date in the fucking wind. What the very FUCK, man. Meanwhile I suppose I will just let my clinically vulnerable small child just repeatedly catch covid then, will I? I fucking despair.

Same here, PD. Year 2 sent a load of kids on a residential a week ago and some of the kids who went had covid. Now nearly all of them do, half the teachers and I’m just waiting for Pete to get it again. (Lots of siblings in reception).

I know we have to live with it, but I’m fed up.

Being vaccinated obviously helps enormously with comfort level though. My kids are fully vaccinated, and I'm still telling them to wear masks. I look forward to finding out how well that went and how many are actually masking now.

Pete's situation is ridiculous though, cluef. Honestly, the media should be alerted to this bullshit.

Cluef that is beyond shocking. It sounds like the same letter that I’ve had for G that I posted about upthread. He’s not medically vulnerable in the same way though, it’s really not okay in your situation.

Thank you. I am in disbelief. I can’t take her to a walk in because she’s too little. I just can’t believe we’re this far into a pandemic and they still haven’t got the most vulnerable people sorted as much as possible before they release it all into the wild. More. Again.

Yes this is what is so disgusting. It’s absolutely rife everywhere and £££££ has been utterly wasted on so many useless things, and here is a tiny child unvaccinated.

I’m sorry about G, Squizz. It’s so bloody frustrating and worrying, isn’t it?

Also, this doesn’t have much to do with anything but my grandma is in hospital, she’s dying. I haven’t been able to take my unvaccinated children to see her because they wouldn’t do her booster when she was getting so ill a while ago. I haven’t been able to see her in case we pass anything on. I don’t think I will ever see her again. This is such a complete shitshow for so many people, still.

Sorry for droning on. I am an absolute ray of sunshine at the moment.

You’re not droning on at all, I’m so sorry to hear about your grandma. It’s ordinary people paying the price for all these shitty decisions yet again.

Thank you. I’m sorry for everyone who’s struggling with it all too. It’s such a weird place to be in. I totally, totally understand wanting it to be gone and willing it away. I feel the same way. I just wish we had our ducks in a row (as a country) first.

It’s so not droning at all, Cloof. It’s utterly shit. I hate how some people so quickly forget the last two years and are merrily going about their business like nothing is out there.
