It was rearranged from last year, and is at Holkham Hall. One of the poshest stately homes in Norfolk right on the beach :( and the menu looked amazing, and it's with my best work buddies :(

My mate has had a few people drop out this week due to covid, which is gutting for her.

I’m sorry Baa. That would have been lovely.

It really feels like anyone who’s not yet had it is getting it.

My sister has fallen (her youngest has been really unwell with it), and my work friend has now succumbed.

I think I had it two years ago at the beginning, so it's like a late anniversary present. Yaaay. I'm just at the level of a cold at the mo, snotty, coughing and sore throat.

Half the teaching staff at J's school are off with Covid. He told me yesterday that there weren't enough supply teachers so they didn't get one and just had the TA all day because year 6 had no teacher and no TA so got the supply teacher. It doesn't help that there's two couples out of the 7 form teachers

Oh apparently there's only two teachers who don't have Covid. My youngest's class is being taught by the student teacher on her own.

That’s crazy!

I don’t know of any cases at our school but they are very much of the covid is over camp. It’s boggling my mind really that cases are so high and yet pretty much everyone has stopped wearing masks and distancing!

That’s crazy, but also great that it shows people are still testing & isolating.

Apparently where I work is going to review IP stuff and we may get told non clinical areas don’t need to wear masks any more. I’ve mixed feelings about it.

My friend was telling me that out of the 45 people that attended her FIL's funeral last week, 37 have caught covid.

I'm sorry Baa, that's so shit.

There's another case in Tupac's class (think it's 4 of them now) but I'm surprised it's not ripped through quicker, OR, people just aren't testing (they sent LFTs for the 5 year olds to do daily but I heard someone on the playground yesterday saying they weren't bothering anymore). There's no requirement for Tupac to test due to his age but I've started up again as a lovely part of the morning routine and made it a Dad task  I've just managed to order another pack of LFTs as we are down to 10 now.

Aiee!thats a lot of people. I don't want to be that person who gives all the wedding guests covid. Our staffing levels can't take any more sick leave

Apart from my parents (who don’t go many places) everyone I know who has managed to dodge Covid for two years has caught it in the last couple of months.

I only know of me/my family and my parents now. The last few standing of my pals have been caught on the latest wave. I feel like we are just treading water a bit now :look:

I too have finally succumbed, along with everyone else in these parts (except for M it seems :lg:), we have the highest rates ever apparently. I suspect I caught it on the Ryanair flight that was full of young pissheads who couldn't quite work out how to get their masks over their nose and mouth at the same time, or just not on at all.

That sucks, kiwi.

I have had an awful cold that has lasted weeks, but all tests have been negative. None of us have had it yet, to our knowledge.

For the sake of science, if you have not had covid yet, is your blood type O-? I remember reading a long time ago that O negatives are less susceptible.
