That’s interesting, LM!

I haven’t had it yet (O+) but every time I go into the office I assume I’ll get it. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time, which is depressing. With precautions in place it wouldn’t have to be for many people.

My brother, his partner and their youngest have it. Their older son doesn’t (LFT and PCR tests) and apparently still has to go to school? My mum went to pick him up from their house to take him too which I wasn’t too happy about. Surely that isn’t playing by the rules?

We had a positive case physically in our office on Tuesday for the first time.

It’s so stupid. You can test positive and still go into work now.

Est, that is the case - your nephew is a close contact, and accordingly, if he does daily negative lfts, it’s business as usual.

Legally yes, but it’s still recommended to stay at home (not much use if your employer insists or you don’t get paid though!).

The school thing is correct though Est, and has been for a while. I think Kleio had run ins with school about not being able to take children in?

I won’t bore you with the timeline, but I had negative LFTs and a PCR despite symptoms that then cleared up. Yesterday I felt great and presumed it was a coincidental cold.

Today I got a faint positive then developed a headache/temperature (my eczema is awful too). Elvis got a strong positive this evening.

It’s rife at school and I wonder if it’s possible that P picked it up and passed to Sproglette, but Elvis picked up at school and passed to me.

Interestingly, my boss says I should go from last Friday when I complained I felt ill but Saturday’s PCR was negative and I felt better since.

Even people who test positive are *entitled* to go to school/work/anywhere they damn well please.

S is ill (not covid) and his dad - who lives in the same apartment building - can’t visit him because a guy at his workplace is exercising his right to work whilst positive.

My eldest nephew is still going to school on daily LFTs even though the rest of the family are down. It’s allowed, he double vaxxed, that’s what we’re at now.

I need to book Squeak’s second dose now. She had the teenage booster today and I think we’re supposed to wait a week after that?

If people are going to go to work anyway, why do they even bother testing?

Maybe so they can be selective about who they expose to the virus.

Got to protect Granny. The folk at work though… meh

Urgh. I know it’s an impossible situation for some people, what with the lack of decent sick pay. I get that.

Well, two people who work for Mr H have tested positive today, and he was working closely with one all day yesterday, so it will be a miracle if we escape it.

Never had it yet, I’m B+ for the spreadsheet.

Little My wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 7:57 pm For the sake of science, if you have not had covid yet, is your blood type O-? I remember reading a long time ago that O negatives are less susceptible.
I’m A+ and haven’t had it (to my knowledge)

F is the only person left that I know who hasn't had it yet - he's O-! T only just got it recently and so mildly that he only tested positive on LFTs for a day, he's O- too. F is the strange one, he's in year 8 so fully at the coal face of it all. Maybe he's had it asymptomatically lots of times but considering the regularity of his testing, you'd have thought at some point it popped up.

Oh and both T and F have lived in a covid house twice (once when it was just Theo and once when it was both Theo and me) and they never got it.

I haven't had it unless it was right at the beginning before testing. I'm O+.

My children and P have also avoided it. I have no idea what their blood types are though.

I don't even know my own blood type :perky:

I've not had it, but even typing that feels like tempting fate.

Not if there’s never been a reason for them/you to need to know for medical reasons. I only know mine are not O as P and I give blood.
