Re: That's not a real name!
There was a thread on r.eddit about children's names. My favourite comment was about a child who's middle name was Danger

The grandson of a former colleague is called Surname-Father's name-Surname. Their family name is more along the lines of Higgins than anything that lends itself to traditional use as a first name.
She didn't take too kindly to the 'Bond, James Bond' impressions. Or anything that suggested her darling son is a narcissist, who needed telling.

That’s just weird.
There was a woman on Only Connect who was so desperate to take her husband’s name but his surname was too long so she took his first name as her surname.

I think she was being a bit racist too as she took his British first name

Re: That's not a real name!
Well she should be doing that in solidarity with her husband if she wants his name ;)
I suppose it’s quite a nice idea really but now she’s got to explain to people why she took her husband’s first name, for the rest of her life

I was reading an article about a Dutch coffee company and the owner was called Dick de Kock. They were hoping to branch out into other countries and now I'm just hoping they don't mean English-speaking ones...
