We were in Nottingham yesterday so I popped into Space NK & claimed my Ndulge birthday gift and ordered this little Rare Beauty kit with 20% off. I’m a sucker for a liquid blusher.

I got a beautiful eyeshadow palette for my birthday (which I chose). It's a Korean brand called 3ce. I've got a smaller one of their palettes and the shadows are lovely and soft and easy to use.

That’s an excellent palette. The only colour that I’d avoid is the central yellow one.

I bought a couple of things from the Sali Hughes Revolution range, the Butter Cream cleansing balm, and the Cream Drench moisturiser. They were buy one,get one half price in Superdrug and I'm looking forward to trying them out.

Ooh, that’s good to know Sal. I’d like to try the cleanser particularly & am about to need one.

I am also starting to see a bit of a difference. I’ve been using it twice a day for three weeks now.

I’ve rejoined Beauty Pie briefly to buy some makeup I’m interested in namely the concealers and some sort of under eye thing plus 2 eyeshadow sticks. It was free delivery and 60 day free membership plus a tenner off with a code.

I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying that the “Sali Hughes” cleansing balm really stings the eyes. I need to be able to use a cleansing balm on my eyes (looking at you, Omorovicza).

Yes, it tells you on it not to use it on your eyes, I always use a separate eye make up remover anyway. She has said that they're looking at changing the ingredients for future runs to see if that helps.

I recently ordered that Il Makiage foundation that purports to match your colour perfectly from an online quiz, which you might have seen on social media.

Well, it doesn’t match perfectly, it’s not bad, but it’s too yellow toned for me. It’s quite a nice foundation so I’ve mailed their customer service to see if they can suggest alternatives and hopefully provide samples, otherwise they’re supposed to have a no-quibble 60 day refund. I’ll report back here in case anyone else has also been tempted to give it a punt.

I had a look for reviews for that, and saw a lot about it not being a good match for people. So I gave up on the idea, given that that is their selling point.

I returned some Il Makiage foundation a while back as I just didn’t think the coverage was any good. The colour was ok, but the videos promise amazing coverage, which it doesn’t have.

I had an email back from Il Makiage’s Customer Services and they will replace the foundation with an alternative shade, with no need to return the original (plus give me a £15 voucher) - which is pretty sweet.

So if anyone does their test/ looks at their website and thinks shade 35 is for them and wants to try it, PM me and I’ll post it on. I’ve had maybe 5 pumps out of the bottle.

My mum bought me & Squeak the M&S beauty bag this afternoon. We split the contents, and I got the upper arm cream for bingo wings, the leg butter & the Emma Hardie face mist. She got the rest.

I also bought the new Soap & Glory coconut body scrub. My legs are disgustingly scaly right now.

I took receipt of a Glossier order this morning too. Lavender balm.com, Boy Brow & a Solar Paint, the lightest colour.

I am fully in love with Rapid Brow. It’s made a huge difference to my sparse hairs.

Got Ren Centifolia Cleansing Balm recently. Not sure if I like it. It may be better now we are in winter and my skin gets drier. But I don’t feel it gets my face very clean.
