Re: Renovating Nince Towers
Oh, nine. That's a bit shit about the decorating. It doesn't matter how good underneath is if the top layer looks shite.
Happy moving in day and I hope you get some other recompense or help to fix things from your builder.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

Happy moving back home day!
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

Thank you everyone! Alas I wasn’t allowed to take Philip
I am utterly exhausted but the removal men and my parents have been amazing.
I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight in my Setting Plaster room

Re: Renovating Nince Towers
I am exhausted
I’ve unpacked approx 1.5 rooms. That’s pretty much two days’ solid work.
I have far too much crap and it’s compounded by the seasons changing since I moved out, plus being completely different clothes sizes in summer 2022, summer 2021 and summer 2020. I have sacks and sacks of stuff that’s either out of season or too big.
Plus I’m having to unpack boxes labelled for rooms that no longer exist, so some “dining room” stuff is for the kitchen, some is for the living room etc. Then there was the huge hallway cupboard which no longer exists
However I do have a bed, a shower and broadband so I’ll get there. And my table fits perfectly in the kitchen.
