Re: Show your (craft)work
I've just dug out my knitting needles again after a few years of not using them. I have so many, I had no idea! I want to make a simple blanket- I know, might as well set fire to £50 notes- and while I was looking for inspiration online, I saw this. I'd never make anything that looked this professional, but how cosy is that
? (I'm feeling autumnal already.)

This is my latest effort. It needs to be blocked when I get home (washed and stretched into shape) so it won’t have a wonky hem, pleats and puff sleeves when it’s done :))

Re: Show your (craft)work
Ella, this is a really dreadful photo of something similar I made a year or two ago. I got some chunky weight cashmere from Colourmart on special offer, and it worked out very reasonably (about £75) and it is so warm and cozy. I've had a look and This is the nearest they have on offer just now, which is not the same at all; but it's worth checking their offers pages or getting on the mailing list, as they bring on new specials all the time.

Beatrix, that’s so lovely.
Ella, that looks eminently doable. It’s all stocking stitch so the only difficulties are the increases/decreases, which are pretty simple if you can make a stitch or knit/purl two together.

It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

I’ve been making up this weekend, in case you hadn’t worked it out.

Wrist warmers that are a bit twee but Elvis has claimed them.
Also made up a dress (that still needs pressing, which I’ll do before wrapping) so that’s the second set of siblings done.

Re: Show your (craft)work
Do we think this blanket is ok for a new baby regardless of whether its a boy or girl? Or has it turned out a bit too pink?

It's pink but lovely. I would give it to a gal, honestly.
Did you finish your Iron Lamb jumper by the way, Shoe?

I would give it regardless of the child’s sex.
It’s a lovely piece of work and colours aren’t innately gendered.
