Re: Black boots
I have just bought a second pair of these Pom d’Api chelsea boots. They are wool-lined and so comfortable and cosy. I don’t think chunky boots suit me either but these are perfect.

I love Le Chameau wellies! As much as one can love a welly. (I don’t own any.)

I need to start a boot search too, this is timely. I want something mega flat, I'm tall enough and I'm all about comforttt.
Pom d'Api seems to be for children, have you got mini feet, emma?

I really like yours, Dix. And I am a 38 so perhaps I can wear children's boots.

I don't know if the price they show is with the 20% off, or if you get a further 20% off that. Either way, they are gorgeous.

Re: Black boots
I used to have boots similar to those, but they zipped up the inside so I never had to do the laces.
Yesterday I tried on a few pairs of black ankle boots and ended up buying these Clark's boots. They're so comfy, and the heel is the perfect height for casual whilst still giving me a bit of a boost. They don't look so shiny in real life.

Those are nice
I bought those Barbour ones last year but the do rub my feet a bit. I haven’t worn them much though so they need wearing in.

Re: Black boots
I agree they do need wearing in actually so sorry if I've misled. Once worn in they are great but I had an area on one heel that rubbed on my smaller foot. I needed to wear thicker sock.
