Happy Emigration Day, Pilgrims

Post by H1ppychick »

What is everyone up to today?

I decided against going into the office as a lot of the team are on leave or sick, so I had a relatively relaxed start to the day.

I've got blah work to do today then the gym tonight. It's a bit of a nothing day for me.

Happy Thanksgiving US Chums.

It's a quiet day for me as the US is off today and tomorrow.

Morning!
I don't know how I managed to keep a straight face on a video call yesterday when a US colleague asked if I am also off for Thanksgiving.
Today I really need to sort out my end of year review, so naturally I am messing about on the internet.

Happy Thanksgiving to US turtles!

I am still off work (signed off till next week) and I'm sitting with wet hair which I can't really be bothered to dry but needs must.

I've been trying to enter my meter readings but Scottish Power's website keeps crashing on me :verm:

Morning and Happy Turkey Day!

It's a bit grey and wet but I've dropped my car off at the garage for a brake thing to be replaced to stop the screeching.

Teachers are on strike today, so the boy is living his best in pj's playing Madden 23.

Happy thanksgiving!

I’m on strike today. I’ve been to the airport to pick up Mr C and have to go back to the airport to drop my mum off later. We have to leave at 4pm and the laptop I ordered for her is out for delivery between 3.20pm and 4.20pm. How much do you want to bet that it isn’t here by 4pm…

Afternoon! I’m on my way back from the jewellers where I bumped into a colleague I used to work in the civil service in about 2003 who now has his own watch business :smallworld: I would never have recognised him but he came over and gave me a big hug.

It feels like everyone is striking! I quite feel like joining in.

I am the opposite and am in school. Nice class though so that’s a win!

Afternoon.

I've had my PDR /wheel of work review thingy which I have renamed the wheel of misfortune. Load of bollocks.

Is the post on strike at the moment?

The cheap wine appears to be quite robust :))

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for the dogs letting us sleep in and my husband bringing me an espresso in bed.

We will see family today and watch the Lions (American football), then have an amazing turkey (and a vegan turkey roast) dinner, followed by a birthday party. :ready:

I hope to be drunk on cheese later. :))

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all. I’m at a beach house in South Carolina watching the football (soccer not American). We’re about to take the dog for a run on the beach in a bit and are bickering about what time we’ll be eating.

I also need to do several U.K. school registrations for the boys before I get stuck into the booze.

You’re definitely coming back, olive?

S is a bit disappointed his football training clashes with some of the Lions game, Five :)) I’ve told him the game will still be on when he gets back.

This accounts for the two odd-seeming chaps who delivered a Royal Mail parcel to me earlier - they weren’t in uniform so must have been managers or something.
