Thank you all. I am very excitable and bouncy :))
It's really easy to move country with two teenagers, right?

Re: Time For A Change
This is super cool Smun. You'll be an actual European.
I am being strongly encouraged to apply to be seconded into a maternity placement. The pregnant lady has specifically asked me. It's a big step up. Really tough decision because I'm only halfway through the apprenticeship, and it's really busy but equally, can't turn down a super excellent promotion. Just love making things harder for myself.
However the extra money would allow for better bribes to get me to work on my assignments. Task initiation is not strong in me.

Re: Time For A Change
So I also appear to be applying for another job- still under the same parent company umbrella, same sector but different products (with a much less complicated set up than my current situation) and also in a different EU country. A good friend who worked there before moved to my current location about 4 years ago (where we met) and moved back 6 months ago has asked if I’d be interested in upping sticks and relocating.

Do it, Cos. I am all for making things harder for oneself :))
Exciting, Hazey! It's all go on this thread right now.

Good luck everyone!
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

Re: Time For A Change
I typed out a really long reply but I’m wary of saying too much. A.n.other Turtle who has 3 tween/teenage boys has the language of this country in her username. I hope that’s obvious enough!
There will be some serious discussions this weekend. Every time I think of a reason not to apply for it, I decide it’s not a stumbling block and can be overcome :)

I'd give my eye teeth to live in said country, do it!
Have you decided yet Cos?
I'm waiting to hear about a final stage panel interview for a job I'm surprisingly interested in (surprising because I bloody love not working :))). We shall see.

That’s another thing to its advantage. He still lives in the other country where that language is spoken and His manager has said in the past that he would be supportive of a move to their company’s office in the new country. That would be about 30-40 mins train ride away. So that’s a positive.
