Will have sinks similar to the bath and this stone top on the vanity. Plus these cabinets in both bathrooms (2 in each as both are having double sinks)

Est, that’s going to be stunning!

We’ve finished (mostly, need to paint the inside of the window frame to match the new, and get some blinds to match) our garage conversion and utility space (not at all finished, I need to finish laying flooring/paint and get better storage sorted).

The house used to have a double garage that the owners had converted one and just plaster boarded the dividing wall. We’re going to use it as an office/play space, and later it can be a bit of a teenage den:

Oh, that's lovely. The colour scheme is so fresh and clean looking, and the feature wall sets it off really well.

Is it ok to ask on here what you all think about tradespeople using photos of your house on their social media? The work they've done on it, obviously, not random shots of your decor :))

I've just realised that there are photos of my dining room furniture and the finished paintwork on both the carpenter's and the decorator's social media. I didn't agree to the photos or sign them off. There are no identifying details, but anyone who's been to the house recently would recognise it, and there are things like books on the shelves and ornaments on the mantelpiece that can be seen. I know it's a normal way to market services, so I don't know whether to ask them to take the photos down, but I feel a bit uncomfortable about it. AIBU, do you think?

That looks great!

I think they should ask first, Morgs, but it wouldn't bother me.

Yes, M agrees with you. Maybe I'm being too precious. I wouldn't dream of taking photos in someone else's house, though, never mind putting them on Facebook.

After the last kitchen remodel, the cabinet makers asked to take pictures but didn't tell us they were putting them on their website and social media. It didn't bother me at all, to be honest. Nothing identifying.

The cat palace is finished! One cat has managed to make it up there by himself, the other has yet to venture past the first shelf.

I love the cat palace. Are they getting braver now?

We are toying with doing something similar to this on a large wall we have facing our front door (which is currently a very large wallpaper feature of the Brooklyn bridge installed by the previous owners) We need to do something more than just painting/papering and I like the texture this gives.

I have various ideas for using panels with a similar finish to that, Est. Modernising some built in wardrobes and a wide half-height bed head panel, that also extends beyond our side tables.

Will you keep the natural wood finish?

I love that wood paneling, it looks great.warm and textured but not too busy. I'm considering doing something like that in the bathroom

I like that panelling way more than the traditional looking stuff all over the ‘Gram.

I need to paint my downstairs loo. I wanted a really dark/rich card table green but everyone else hates it. So now I’m thinking Little Greene Aquamarine or F&B Palm. I’m going to buy samples this morning. It’s currently blue with orange goldfish stickers. I’ve negotiated new stickers, which are larger actual gold fish so they have to happen.

I love that, Cos. I had a battle with MrE about a pink en-suite and lost

Abs, yes, I like the oak look of the panelling. We are going to try and see some in the flesh instore this weekend.

Dark blue looks good!

I'm not sure about that panelling. Will it look a bit cardboardy?
