She's come back and apologised, saying that I had put the measurements in and she had missed them. Regardless though, I can buy two pairs of trousers in H&M for example in the same size, and one will fit and the other won't get past my thighs.
I would only complain if the size was listed incorrectly, esp if I bought without knowing the measurements.

That's nice that she came back but also check the listing first!

I'm glad she backed down and hopefully she's learnt a lesson, the blind bitch.

Oh god that was a joke and I've really cracked myself up :look:

Absolutely this. To be honest about 1/3 of the things don't fit me; I either sell them on or give them to charity.

I had someone buy some (very expensive) Paige jeans from me for £20. They obviously didn't fit her but she tried to claim that they were "scruffy", the cheeky cow (they were in excellent condition). I went back and asked her to send photos of the 'scruffy bits' as I was most concerned they had arrived in this state. Never heard from her again.

I am thinking about selling some of clothes on Vinted. What do I I need to think about when selling? So far I have
- good quality pictures
- details of quality and measurements
- set a price to allow for haggling
- avoid inpost/royal mail
- add a few things at a time

Anything else? I've had a good experience with my purchases so it's time to sell things.

I think you have all the important things covered. I can't add to that.

That's good, Tex. I would put fold cardboard around it then wrap and tape it in a bin bag.

Vinted feels so much easier that eBay and I don't mind selling stuff for cheaper that I normally would have just given to charity. It's making me regret all the decent stuff I did take to the charity shop a few months ago.

Anyway, never mind, I'm selling stuff quite steadily with a few things refusing to budge but I'm leaving them on for now.

I took a load of things down then posted a few new things and they've sold! Sunday is definitely the best day to post.

I'm going to drip feed my dresses.

Bloody hell, I'm stressed out. A pair of shoes I sold have been received today she's saying they smell of smoke and she would never have bought from a smoker. I don't smoke! They've been in their original box still with tissue paper and spare heels things, in a wardrobe in the spare room for three years. Not only that she says they are "unwearably damaged" due to an undisclosed tear in the leather and some scuff marks.

These were not sold as new. I specifically mentioned the tear and scuffs in the description and directed potential buyers to look at the photos. I specifically included clear photos of the exact areas showing the exact tear and marks.

I've submitted my photos of my listing to Vinted. I don't mind getting them back and doing a refund but she's frigging liar and I'm pissed off.

It's horrible isn't it when people lie like this. I bet they don't fit her. That's the risk you take though, esp buying shoes. You've put the tear etc in the description so that should be ok. What an arsehole. She should just sell them on.

She is an arsehole. With good feedback.

She said I have to send her a return label and she’ll send them back tomorrow. Directed me to T&C as she’s reported the very significant difference in description and has been doing this a long time…!

I thanked her for directing me to T&C where it clearly states the buyer pays for the return label and so let’s wait for Vibted’s response to my response.

How can a bloody shoe smell of smoke anyway?! Especially when it’s been in a sealed smoke free unit.

I found my first communion dress in the stuff at my mum’s so I’m going to list it but it’s handmade so no sizing label. I’m thinking I need to give waist, collar to hem and collar to waist measurements. Is that all?

For my clothes I give armpit seam to armpit seam, but I don't know if that's so important for children's clothing

Stuff like this really pisses me off! I have bought and sold loads on Vinted but only once had a bad experience with a buyer when a wool knitted dress I sold her got negative feedback. I didn't sell it as new, added very clear photos of the condition it was in and she only paid €5. Still she claimed the pilling on it made it unwearable. She didn't want to return it though.
