Let me know if you're ever passing.

Though this week involves a mushy pea curry because I'm curious and the girls (who don't like mushy peas nor curry are away).

Gnocchi in tomato sauce
Mushy pea curry and rice
BNS and lentil soup
Shepherds pie and broccoli
Tofu curry of some sort (will use up what's in the fridge before we also head off)

Is it Easter holidays for the girls this week, Wendy?

I'm not sure about mushy pea curry myself but hope you like it!

S: Barbuto roast chicken with salsa verde, parmesan potatoes, green bean and rocket salad
S: courgette pasta with rocket, green bean, rocket and basil salad
M: chicken and wild garlic pie, broccoli, roasted carrots and peas
T: black pepper tofu, rice, cucumber salad, broccoli
W: lentil and bay gratin, rosemary garlic bread and rocket salad. Buttermilk strawberry cake for dessert (new Alison Roman recipe!) plus batch cooking jerusalem artichoke soup as they need eating.
T: out - Franco Manca pizza playdate for Liv and her BFF. If G and S don't want to come they can eat JA soup followed by cake.
F: Friday night burgers - I think to mix it up we'll have chorizo burgers with romesco sauce. Crisps and slaw on the side.

They break up on Friday and by 'this week', I meant this week's plan, which is for next week's meal as the delivery comes Saturday. Just to confuse everyone.

Ah that makes total sense, we are half way through this week after all! I'm terrible at meal planning so half of mine is stuff we already ate.

On inspection of our pre-holiday fridge/freezer we are now having Michelle Obama burgers tonight. With slaw and padron peppers on the side.
I think we're good for chickpea stew tomorrow night as it's mostly cupboard stuff plus leafy greens.

Using up everything before you go away is so satisfying

I've been doing the same. I made all the meals on Monday for the few days remaining and portioned it up, so all we've had to do is warm it up. It meant I knew it had all been used up (some portions also went in the freezer). :l:

Come! There will be plenty!

I'm just making it up really. So I'll infuse equal volume of milk and double cream with three crushed cloves of garlic and a bay leaf and dijon mustard to pour over the layered celeriac. I might put thyme leaves in too. Season very well, it can take a lot of salt & pepper.

Mushroom and spinach risotto with scallops
Potato boulangere with veggie sausage and veg
Risotto balls with scallop roe and tomato sauce
Rice with tofu and Asian pesto, pickled veg
Something to be decided for M's birthday, probably just sauteed garlic prawns in a nasty white roll as that is his guilty favourite!
