Re: Magic Beans
I needed a new bottle of the Cosrx Propolis toner I’ve been using and bought these too since I failed in my effort to buy myself a treat on Sunday. I got a sample of the Snail Bee stuff in my last order and it felt really nice.

Re: Magic Beans
Both of these are cheap and cheerful, and currently are suiting my skin.
The moisturiser is from Sainsbury’s and I’ll probably try their other stuff, if it remains stocked and the foundation is Primark - it goes on nicely and is buildable.

I had a good mooch in Sephora in NY although I could have done without J trailing round like a sulky toddler. I bought some palettes and lip balms for my nieces, and perfume for my mum. I bought myself a Nudestix set of a cream bronzer, blusher and highlighter I really like the blusher and highlighter, I struggle a bit with bronzer as I always feel it's too dark for my pale Celtic skin. I also bought JVN air drying cream, and a Juliette Has A Gun discovery set, just for something different. I have tried 2 of them already and like them.

Tell us more about what you did in Noo Yoik, sal! I really made a boob in not buying any sort of beauty product when I was there.

Re: Magic Beans
I had almost run out of foundation, primer and blush and was passing Liberty yesterday and ended up getting my entire make up done at the Westman Atelier counter. I was so impressed! I bought the complexion drops, foundation stick, translucent powder and blush stick in petal.

We really just did the main tourist things as J had never been before. It sounds a bit weird but I really liked the way they've done all around the WTC site, its respectful but in a positive way.

No, we did the Empire State Building, I couldn't do the Edge, that floor to ceiling glass would make me ill. Also I love the ESB, I love art deco stuff.
ETA: oh you mean the new WTC? no, we just gawped at it from below
Lazz, yeah he really enjoyed it, much more than he thought he would. We had great food too!

I love the look of Westman Atelier stuff. It’s quite spendy though.
I am loving Aimee Connolly second skin glowy foundation. Her shade range is so good.

It is $$$ but I don't buy foundation or blush very often. My last foundation is a year old and my last blush lasted for 4 years and had been discontinued.

Re: Magic Beans
Steak and pizza is doing NYC correctly :))
2nd day wearing Westman Atelier products and I'm impressed. The foundation gives just the right amount of coverage and it doesn't sit in my fine lines and wrinkles and it's just so glowy! I had basically stopped wearing anything powdery because I hated the way it gathered in my smile lines over the course of a day.

I would totally drop dollar on WA if I could. The little push up blushers look so nice.

Hannah Martin has done a collaboration with Ok which is amazing value. It’s a box of makeup for £50 and includes Lisa Eldridge, Trish McEvoy, Stila, Trinny and more. I couldn’t hit purchase fast enough. Link is in her instagram bio. Just hoping my neighbour can grab it and look after it for me as I’m away. I think the rrp is over £250,

Re: Magic Beans
I’ve finally caved into the barrage of FB ads I’ve been getting and have ordered a couple of those Wonderskin Wonder Blading lip masque things, I’ll report back how successful they are. I can’t keep normal lipstick on so it’ll be interesting to see how they stand up.
