I'm glad to hear that he's improving, but perhaps if he pays for the stuff he destroys it might make him more careful. Does he have a job at all?

Yeah, if it goes in one ear and out the other, I still see his dad as being remiss.

IWLTS: I don’t think I’ve ever felt grubbier in my life.

Very long story short - I’ve just moved over to shared care for medication and my local pharmacies seem to be oddly uncomfortable and unfamiliar with dispensing controlled drugs. I find this hard to believe given how many times you see customers necking their methadone next to the checkout :ella: I have just spent the best part of an hour speaking to the different pharmacies in the area trying to find out who has got my prescription and who has got the meds and it’s made me feel weird.

I've just had to do the same Edith, probably for the same reason and it's pretty appalling how utterly inept quite a lot of pharmacy staff are.

I’m sorry you are also feeling horrid, Marth and Cosmo.

It seems so old-fashioned to not have a central database showing which pharmacies have stocks of which drugs and to just be able to send them to each other as patients need them.

I just don't understand either. Apparently there is a manufacturing fault with my adhd meds. And because it's a controlled drug, most pharmacists don't keep much stock because they don't have enough space in their safes. Meh.

Sympathies, Edith. I have had one pharmacy like that, a local branch of Boots, that treated me like an addict (LOL) and sent me out with my drugs in a bag with a fluorescent yellow sticker with CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE XXXXX DRUGGIE LOWLIFE on them. :)) I much preferred the one where they just used to hand hem out to R without even checking if he knew me. :)) I sent him with my driving license and everything, in case they queried it.

Can you complain about that, Edith? Your MP maybe?

IWLTS: When I said to let me know if I disturbed you, I didn't mean email me at stupid o'clock every time you hear a door bang, my curtains twitch or sleep, or a gerbil snoring. FFS.

I would change pharmacy, it's still annoying you can't get them thru the post but I have changed a few times and it amazes me how even 2 different Boots stores are in behaviour.

I often call a pharmacy to ask them to send the prescription back to the NHS Spine and then any pharmacy can pick it up

IWLTS, please just cut you loses and get yourself home. Your wife and child look utterly miserable camping in this weather.

To my brother in-law who is a complete miser and like to get his money's worth.

IWLTS: is it really so difficult to not drink when you have your children?

He drove them home after 2 pints. I know it’s the suggested maximum (with advice being don’t drink at all) but Betty was really worried.

Oh, I could rustle up a can of Heinz. That would be simpler than the solution that I thought was being sought.

My friend once ordered a prawn bhuna on his way home from the pub on the grounds that he was probably too drunk to chew.

Awww I used to work for a carers charity and lots of them would say rest bite. We used to think it did sort of make sense. A bite of rest, small amount of rest away from their caring duties. :))

Oh, I took a picture of my mum’s usage of this because it only muddied the waters further for me. Do the inverted commas mean she’s in on the joke? Or is she doubling down on niche errors and adding emphasis quotes? I can’t ask her.
