Re: Dogs
Yes sure, no problem Lily, They use a few village sports halls or community centres and usually hold them once a month. There's usually some fundraising or doggie accessories being sold at the same time. The dogs attending are all in foster homes until they get their home for life. So you get to chat to their fosterers and have a real idea of what they are like at home. Also how they are with other dogs around them.

Re: Dogs
As for the ones I fell for - Lena, Luna, Noel (lovely gent), Pierre (biscuit discoverer), Jade(very kissy) and Colin among others. Favourites were Lena & Colin. Lena needs to be with another dog though and Colin would need to be cat tested. I think Colin is the best fit so far though. Plus he can have the middle names "from accounts"!
Thry have some more coming over at the end of the month but if we went for one of those it would be foster first with a view to adopt.

Re: Dogs

Oh well, good luck to Colin From Accounts. :) Do you find many of them are cat tested? It seemed like a big stumbling block when I was looking to adopt a dog and already had cats.
You are bound to find the right fit though, so many different characters.

Re: Dogs
They seem to be one of the better ones for cat tested ones. If they haven't been cat tested they usually mention if they can be.
I think some of the Romanian stray packs also have cats with them.

Re: Dogs
Hopefully seeing a potential dog on Saturday afternoon. She's about 2-3 years old and sort of small, red labrador looking with a white chest and paws. Loves her belly rubs so much she'll scoot over to her fosterers on her back for more!

I think Francine has been rehomed because I can't see her any longer on their Facebook page. We're off to see Pandora
who will blend in quite well with Rufus on the sofa! You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Dogs
Thanks all.
Our home check person has fallen for her! Her fosterer has said I hope you like lap dogs :-)
Waiting to hear back from one more vet's practice to get her registered. We're almost certainly choosing a different name for her. So far I have Rosie, Gilly ( as in Gillian Anderson), Bracken or Amber.
She's quite shy at the moment but I was able to get on well with most of the more shy dogs at the last coffee morning so hopefully she'll be okay with us as well. Mr Speedy has dog whisperer skills also!
So fingers crossed for this afternoon.

Re: Dogs
I've told Rufus that just because she's submissive with cats he can't bully her!
