Hope you feel better soon Tsu, take it easy.

Mr H is having his covid jab today, but we are not sure why he’s eligible! Our appointments always come together so after a couple weeks of his letter arriving I rang to check mine hadn’t gone missing in the post or something, but was told my asthma didn’t make me eligible this time.

Mr H was always eligible because he had a brief period of AF many years ago, but he doesn’t seem to fit the criteria this year?

Anyway, obviously he’s not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but I’m miffed I’m not getting one!

Sorry Sky, missed that you actually had COVID - hope you are better and negative soon!

Mr H was thoroughly quizzed at the vaccination centre about why he had been invited, the vaccinator had to get her supervisor, but in the end they decided that as he was there they might as well jab him.

He definitely thought he was going to be kicked out at one point

So looks like it was a mistake, but hey ho, he’s jabbed now anyway!

So, day six and I'm still in bed. My temperature has gone down but I don't want to eat anything and I'm still extremely fatigued. At one point I couldn't lift my shoulders off the pillow. I have nausea when I think about food and The Journalist has been running up and down with things I think I fancy and then don't when I see/smell them.
He called 111 on Friday and they said it sounded like the flu and my GP called later on because of my kidney problems. She booked me a blood test for Saturday morning but in the event I just couldn't do it and The Journalist doesn't drive so I had to cancel. My belly hurts but I think that's due to laying down for so long and no eating anything.
On Wednesday, I felt so rough that I thought I might die and I didn't actually care. I've never felt as bad as this for as long 😞

Annoyingly, I'd had a flu jab but only on Nov 22 so it hasn't had time to work.

Oh, Tsu that sounds really rough! Hope you’re doing a bit better now, Sky.

Woman down here as well. The rest of the family got it early last week and it took me until Friday to get it. I haven’t felt that bad until today, but still just like a really bad cold. This is my third time (no jab this year), but it’s only my eldest’s second - and she’s less vaccinated than us (due to being in her 20s) and has had it pretty badly.

Husband had his covid jab (due to meds he’s on) a few days before getting it :ella:

That sounds scary, Tsu. I hope you're better soon, Sky and Mojo.

I had my last booster just a few months ago but am still sick a week on, though much less so than I was the first time I had Covid. Mr5's last booster was many months before mine and he was more seriously ill the first couple of days, so I do believe the boosters work, if one can take them.

I'm out of bed for the first time today. I had a shower yesterday meaning to get up afterwards but was so absolutely wiped out with the effort of washing my hair, I went straight back to bed. Nothing tastes like it should and even my beloved cups of tea aren't pleasant.
I'm definitely feeling better than I was but I am amazed at how exhausted I am. In ten days I've gone from fit and playing golf to not caring if I ever leave the house again.
