Face powder / compact

Post by Hazey_Jane »

I have it in my head, that I want a face powder, for days when I don’t want full coverage but want to even up my colour and hide a bit of shininess. What can you lovely lot recommend?

Boots No.7 pressed powder. It's brilliant and a good price for the quality.

I agree, Hourglass is probably the best for face powder.

Hourglass is amazing, but I’m not sure it’ll do what you want it to alone. On days I want to just even up tone a little, I either use a tinted moisturiser or a cushion foundation (the No. 7 one was great, but is discontinued).

Do Clinique still do super powder/double powder? Can’t remember the exact name but that’s a good one.

Or you could try a powder foundation like Bare Minerals?

I have a really good Laura Geller powder foundation, it’s really buildable and not at all heavy.

You could buy from qvc and send it back within 30 days to try it out?

Thank you all for the suggestions. I have Monday off so will have a mooch around the beauty counters in town.

I got the Laura Geller balance and brighten in fair and it’s great. The shade is perfect and I really like the finish.

I use Chanel Healthy Glow Mineral Powder. I don't wear much make up, but a quick brush of that makes me look less dead when necessary.

I love the Westman Atelier powder, it makes my skin feel velvety and the compact it's in is beautiful.
