Whistable Pearl. It was an endurance test getting through this but for some reason I persevered.

Ha, not yet, but thought I’d watch it for the same reason!Bendywendywoo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 5:54 pm I'm about to give Big Mood on C4 a go, based purely on Claire from Derry Girls being in it. Anyone else seen it?

Nerdy as it sounds, I'm enjoying the channel 5 series Keeping London Going (about the tube). It's fascinating learning what goes on in TFL.

It's dark and sad. There are lighter moments but the overall story is not a comedy.Cerise wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 10:27 pmHa, not yet, but thought I’d watch it for the same reason!Bendywendywoo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 5:54 pm I'm about to give Big Mood on C4 a go, based purely on Claire from Derry Girls being in it. Probably miles behind everyone else, but I’m loving Beyond Paradise - there’s a real theme to the tv I’m watching and books I’m reading at the moment.
I’ve never watched death in paradise but I might binge it after I’ve finished this, I just want easy, comforting tv at the moment, so what better than crime stuff.

I love how Beyond Paradise isn’t always a murder. And I also love Looe so much.

DiP is great, and generally always in iPlayer or Alibi. I’m looking forward to the Australian spin off too.
My Life is Murder and Whitstable Pearl are worth watching, but might take a couple of episodes to get into it. (However, on alibi/drama, so not old skool tv).
I love twee police/ mystery programmes at the moment.

I’m looking forward to Red Eye with Richard Armitage on ITV tomorrow night.

The Channel Four documentary (four episodes) about Nicholas Rossi is well worth a watch.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

We just watched the first 2 episodes tonight, I really like it. I love the books, and I liked the series with Ken Stott but I think this done well.

I watched the first ep of this last night and I’m not sold yet. Will keep going. Maybe it’s because I loved the Ken Stott version so much.sally maclennane wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:37 pmWe just watched the first 2 episodes tonight, I really like it. As predicted, I’m two series into Death in Paradise, and loving it.
For those of us who loved the Mallory Towers series, and Enid Blyton in general, there are three Famous Five episodes on iplayer. Each one is an hour and a half, and I’m enjoying them so far after the first two. Adventures, secret passages, hammy villains and lashings of ginger beer, what’s not to love!

Yes he is! The actor who plays him is really good. He totally carries it off.
I think I read that The Faraway Tree is going to be made into film. I could have dreamt it though
