Yes! I missed that run live so only caught up on it afterwards.

I'm really enjoying the pommel horse final, but no medal for Max Whitlock this year. Rhys McClenaghan for Ireland currently on for gold!

Haha, I just realised I paused the tv for a few minutes a little while ago so was 4 minutes behind. I just forwarded through the tiny bits of chat in between to catch up.

It's a shame for Max but the winning three did look better.

I am GUTTED for Max, after scoring so highly but everyone else has just pushed themselves even further.

It was a shame he went so early on. It might not have made any difference but he would have known what he had to achieve.

Yes, there was no chance for him to up his game seeing the competition. Poor guy. I really feel for him watching him cry. :(

Hurrah for Rhys!

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and go to Paris solo for a few days next week. I am going to fly (cheaper for me with points than the train going last minute), leave tomorrow and back Wednesday night. I’ve got canoe cross on Monday and tickets for a handball (semifinal I think) on Tuesday, but that’s in Lille. I don’t really want to go back and forth, so I will try to sell those. I’d rather snag a ticket for athletics instead.

I was supposed to go with a friend from Seattle but she’s not traveling to France anymore. And sadly no-one else can come last minute, so if any France or Paris-based turtles want a couple of handball tickets for Lille, or wants to be my +1 for the canoe event Monday afternoon 😁 please DM me!

Kayak not canoe. It's like rowing, but also fighting each other on boats.

I was just watching the canoe cross, it is insane! And Team GB have the current women’s and men’s world champions in it apparently - so good chance of some medals :weewee:

This is what I’m seeing on Monday! The quarterfinals, semis and medal sessions :) I hope we get some Brits through!

Pip! I need all of your Paris tips!
