Duplantis is incredible; I reckon he could have gone even higher.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

I rewound it a couple of times and I still think he was . The other bloke looked really crestfallen after three punches to the chest. :mog:

I've just seen it from a different angle and while it still looks agressive, they just look like bro frat twats punching each other in a bonding moment. From the BBC angle I thought there might be a fight later back at the village.

I am done in. Today I popped to see la vasque (flame), baked at the kayak cross and then dashed across the city to catch the end of GB (almost literally) in the women’s hockey. I don’t know how you all survived in hotter temps than this, Pip, but the shadeless stands are very cruel (and potentially unsafe I think in such high temps!).

Anyway, while the kayak was indeed good fun I have never envied a kayak roll more (ever) than today as the thought of being submerged in icy cold water was frankly titillating. But I have decided that I’m a GB curse as both our rowers who should easily have had golds came away with silver and bronze, and obvs the hockey team crashed out.

Netherlands vs GB hockey - most of the crowd was Dutch!

Apparently I’ve walked 20k steps and up 110 flights of stairs and I can feel every single step in my aching body!

Epp - it looks so brilliant!

I too was taken aback by Duplantis and his vigorous sports bro celebration - his mate definitely looked like he'd taken it a far!

I don’t know how I feel about 11 year olds at the Olympics :look: but the skateboarding was fun.

I’m currently cheering on Andrea SS in the diving. She’s not diving as well as she did yesterday unfortunately.

Yes, I thought there must be a minimum age for competing. But apparently not.
