Spin at lunchtime today, it was hard! It was the guy who does my Thursday night class and he is tough.

Re: August exercising
Endurance session this morning and it was just awful.
1000 (yes, 1000 not 100) step ups. The hardcore crew had weighted vests, mortals like me just went for a combination of heights and dumbbells
It really was a mental.battle to just keep going, pleased I manged it. I also discovered counting is hard.

Re: August exercising
I had the worst DOMS in my quads after Sunday’s workout. I’m glad Monday was a rest day!

Re: August exercising
We are in Cornwall. I brought running gear but we are staying halfway up a nearly vertical hill (par for the course in this part of the world) so it hasn’t happened.

45 mins easy/7.68km. This one was outside in 30 deg (real feel 32 degs). Urgh.

Tex, that sounds fair to me.
I am back from class and it was as spicy as I thought it would be. 3 different AMRAPs (as many rounds as possible), each with a time cap. Exercises included box overs/running/thrusters, rowing/lunges/burpee deadlifts, devil press/squat/sit ups.

I went to Dance Step last night. It was slower because of someone new but no less of a workout.

Running rest day. It’s going to be 35 degs here for the last day of winter so I did my strength training early - shoulders and biceps.

Re: August exercising
I love the definition of winter.
I’ve moaned to C about being last to class this morning and the availability of equipment when people double up on weights.
I’m still getting over my back tweak so kept it light anyway and feel OK now. I wasn’t even late! It was frustrating because I often help others set up but don’t seem to have the same amount of capital. I made it through Balance too, taking it very steady.

Re: August exercising
I swam this morning. 50 lengths getting stuck behind people not quite getting lane etiquette (unless I’m doing it wrong), so it was a bit longer than it should have taken but I was also trying to savour every moment of swimming outdoors. I feel like I’ve made the most of being nearby this year.
