I haven’t seen it yet either and I don’t like jelly. I don’t like Scott mills either.

Re: Old Skool Terrestrial Telly
Scott Mills was the target of my dislike, Kelly I found annoying but not awful. I like jelly.
I was surprised to love Jeff Brazier (who knew?! I won't have a hair on his head harmed :)) ), and I liked Kola and Mary Ellen.

I loved Kola, he’s just sweetest. I was terrified for him over his passport.

I think Jeff is very grounded and has always seemed very sensible raising his sons.

Jeff Brazier is adorable, and so are his sons.
I really liked Kola and Mary Ellen too, their stories about Irish families made me laugh.

I started Nightsleeper just before bed last night. Not sure that was a great idea. It’s written by Line of Duty Jed Mercurio and is a bit daft but entertaining enough.

Mine too.
I hope Mary Ellen does well out of this, she seems so lovely.

Aww, I like Scott. I only watched it because of him but I would definitely watch another series. I was happy with the outcome too. They were all lovely really. It’s a surprisingly uplifting bit of tv :))
I did think Jeff was a bit intense with Freddy sometimes, bless him.

I thought something was really up with the end and it felt massively staged. Went onto Twitter and it seems loads of people agreed with me.

Back in the olden days we would have threads to discuss individual programmes so they could be avoided.

We had a lot more posters/threads back then :))

I know but I do think some programmes - not this one :)) - should have their own threads. Like succession, dramas or a major reality tv series. I try to avoid things but it’s really hard on this thread when disclosures can be random.

Re: Old Skool Terrestrial Telly
Yeah but now I want to watch and I can’t :)). Sorry I wasn’t intending to seem pissed off with you. I dontt care anyway about the ending of this as such just other programmes have given elements of things away and I like a total blackout on things.
I can avoid this thread entirely I suppose is the answer.

Re: Old Skool Terrestrial Telly
I don't think the ending was any more staged than any of the other series; they always ramp up the tension and cut between different teams so that you can't easily guess who will win until they open the book.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

Exactly. It was good tv even if the tension was slightly fake :))

I’m three episodes into Ludwig on BBC and really loving it - it’s just the right mix of drama and funny.
Helped that the leads are David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin, both of whom I love!

I really like Ludwig as well. Will probably watch episode 3 later this evening.
