Yes, it's basically this: https://www.itv.com/thismorning/article ... bean-chili except I do my own spicing (the combo I use for carne), and I use an 800g can of mixed beans with 400g can of chickpeas and variations on the tomatoes/ passata/ fresh tomatoes etc - essentially whatever I have to hand. I've made it quite a few times now my way. I have no idea what Phil's one tastes like :snooty:

:)) It is. I don't like cinnamon so I pop a stick in instead, I up the chilli, added ground coriander. I use the cumin and paprika as he does. If you've got a go to con carne recipe you like then use those spices. I can't vouch for Phil's. I'm sure it's very nice though! It's really quick easy recipe. We really like it a lot and it feels healthy. I used greek yogurt as I couldn't be bothered to go out for sour cream or creme fraiche.

I definitely need to up my veg and protein intake so I thought it'd be a good way to do that. I shall play around with it!

I might have even bunged in finely diced carrot and celery at the onion and garlic stage (I cann't remember as it in the freezer from last week) plus you could put peppers in it so you can get even more veg in. Stiry in a handful of spinach. It was very nice anyway and full of protein. I'm trying to increase my intake too and think I am. Greek yogurt too instead of cream.

Excellent tips, thanks. Yes, Greek yoghurt (with fat in, obv, don't want none of that 0%) is so good for upping the protein. We'll be ripped by Easter. :bruce:

It all sounds amazing, Disco, but it's the Bombay roast potato toastie that sounds particularly delicious to me!
