Yep, the seller says she's shocked to find it's Shein. :mog: So she'll very generously refund it but yeah, I gotta pay to send it back. Thems the breaks. Cheers for the virtual hand holding!

Cheers, pals. It looked so nice in the photo, a red gingham dress with lobster print on it. I shall have to see if I can make one now, I reckon.

Yeah I have also learnt that unbranded usually means Shein. I also want a full breakdown of the fabric and a photo of the care tag.

I actually don't hate on Shein. I don't think they're inherently worse than other high street fashion like Pretty Little Thing or whatever. But their fabrics can be grim. I just sold a horrible Shein jumpsuit on Vinted but I was honest about the fabric and the brand. And I only sold it for £3.

I hate on Shein and PLT and all that.

The fabric was truly hideous, I don't understand how anyone could wear that.

Anyway, I shall now be more cautious in my Vinted buying habits. And think about buying some gingham fabric.

Just cried at a video of a 92 year old man finishing the Rome Marathon. Will hold fire on that gingham.

Can anyone shed any light on why people "favourite" something on Vinted? I'm asking because I only favourite items that I am genuinely interested in but nobody else seems to use the favourite function in that way. The most recent example: thirty people have favourited a pair of Maje ear-rings I put up for sale; I have made an offer by reducing the price by 10% to all thirty; no one has either bought (obviously) or even made a counter-offer which makes me wonder why they favourited in the first place. Obviously there will always be a few people who will favourite something just because it's the latest thing online from a brand they like- but everyone? The ear-rings aren't a unique example of an item getting heaps of favourites but no one either responding to my offer or making an offer of their own, this happens all the time. So the favourite button is a mystery to me.
Any insights?

I favourite items I might come back to when payments come through. Also if I’m looking for something and save various options to come back to and choose from once I’ve compared. Its all just bookmarking - I’m not trying to prompt offers from the seller.

Same - sometimes it’s something I’ve seen that I might fancy but don’t want to lose it if I shut the app or whatnot.

I’ve had a big clear out and have done £300 in a couple of days so well worth the effort despite feeling like I couldn’t be arsed at the time :)). Sick of going the post office though.

I’m like Wendy, I favourite things to look /show later especially if it’s not for me.

Also, when you favourite stuff it can boost your own items for sale.

I’m just bookmarking, and if the seller makes an offer it might nudge me to buy.

I also just use it to bookmark. Or if I have something similar to sell, to see how quickly it goes. If people message off the back of a favourite, it really gets on my nerves.

I favourite loads of things and very often have 10 different versions of the item in my favourites. I'm usually buying cheap stuff, not high end brands, so quite often I choose the seller who has other items I want to make the postage worth while.

That would make me cry too. Gingham is very on trend this summer!

I also favourite to bookmark.

So impressed by $300 Pov! I've never listed anything only bought.
