I'm sorry for your lost chips though.

Re: Roast Idiot
This has taught me that my absolute horror of a husband used to dip sausages into his glass of Ribena to cool them down when he was younger Who have I married?
I was about to say, "it's only chips" but clearly not since I remember that incident 24 years ago!

Honestly. 20 years we've been together. Sausages dipped in Ribena!

Oh, to be fair to him, he may have been that age too - he's certainly not doing it now. Not in front of me, at least

Re: Roast Idiot
I used to dip ham sandwiches in strawberry yoghurt but sausages in Ribena is too far. Wouldn't it make his Ribena have an oily film on it?
In primary school I tipped a whole jug of water over my school dinner by accident (sausages, mash, beans, ice cream and toffee sauce). I hadn't eaten a morsel of it and I remember looking at it swimming in the water and being really upset. My mean Headteacher said it wasn't her problem and I had to eat it as is. I refused and went hungry. It was the last school dinner I ever had as I got put on packed lunches after that.

That's what I have (decaff) and my mum thought it was so nice she went out and got some after having it here.
(This was months ago, she's obviously not visiting here now.)

PG Tips is vile. A decaff version doesn't bear thinking about.

Re: Roast Idiot
When I was little my mum decided to get a job for a few hours a week (probably to get away from me and my baby bro!); she got a job in the local Tetleys packing place. She’s always maintained that they had a couple of people sweeping the floors and everything they swept up went straight back into the hoppers for packing into teabags
We’ve never (as a family) bought Tetleys as a result!

I get turned away from visiting family if I haven't brought them sufficient quantities of PG Tips decaff. Solidarity Ken!

PG Tips are rubbish, Yorkshire is the best decaff. Twinings is nice too but really expensive.

I don’t think I’ve ever noticed PG Tips being particularly bad, I’m sure I used to buy it years ago!
I always stock up on Clipper Everyday tea when it’s on offer.

I never buy PG Tips or Tetley if I can help it. I usually have Yorkshire Tea but I prefer Sainsbury's Extra Strong (brownish burgundy box) if I can get it.
