It's the truth I want to hear so I can stop tracking everything and just naturally lose weight :))

My weight isn’t shifting at all. One day I’m 1lb heavier and the next 1lb down and so on. It’s disappointing but I just need to remember that I eat (mainly) healthy and that I do some kind of daily exercise so I’m doing my best whatever the scale shows.

I was up 3 times in the night to wee so thought I might be losing some water weight (?! ) but in fact put on a bit this morning.

What are you doing now, Roma? Are you plateauing at the weight you were after the extreme dieting phase?

Yes, Parisgal I’ve lost a good amount of weight during the intermittent fasting and I’m plateauing at that lower weight now.

I‘m eating around 1,400 calories a day and do some people exercise daily. Nothing extreme, just long walks. Swimming or a gym class.

It'll definitely come off then, unless you're only 4 foot tall! I'm on the same calorie allowance but am still not boosting the exercise like I should be.

I’m quite tall, so I’m hoping that eventually it will come off. I’m still overweight so this definitely cannot be my natural weight!

So I got straight back on the wagon on Tuesday and had a 0.7kg loss for the week. I’m down 2.5kg since starting now.

Well done, Est.

A bit more off here and now I'm up to 36lb.

Roma, could it be hormonal? I've said before I only actually lose for a week - 10 days of the month, the rest of the time I just bounce around the same number. Or is your exercise new? I linked to a great post on reddit ages back about how when you start exercise your body holds on to more water (amongst other stuff) for up to six weeks (i think it was about 3 for me).

I'll still have my daily weigh in and will see where I end up on Friday.
1.2lbs down!!! Not bad considering I've eaten about a kilo of chocolate buttercream in the making of and enjoying BM's birthday cake.

Well done Mayday! Yes, it could actually be hormonal, I will have to monitor that.

During lockdown I’ve been going for a leisurely walk every day and getting a good amount of daily steps in. However, the gym is new. I’d signed up for it just before lockdown so I’ve only been able to go for the last four weeks. I’m also now doing an additional online dance class so definitely more than before. I will try to find your reddit link and have a read through.

2.5lb off for me. The week ahead is key as I've lost and regained the same 2.5lbs over the past month and not actually changed anything. I've all my meals planned up until Friday and I'm in the process of planning for next week so hopefully I'll break the back of it.

Good luck Skips! Are you hoping the planning will make you stick to your existing approach more consistently, or are you changing the way you do things a bit/a lot?

I'm hoping the planning will help me stick with it. I have losses on the weeks I stay on track so I don't feel the need to change approach just yet. I didn't plan this much when I lost weight last time through calorie counting, but I used to walk past a supermarket most days on my way home so would be able to pick things up and as when, whereas now we have the Ocado plus as weekly trip to Lidl so I've got to adapt to suit. I just really hate planning so far in advance but things aren't changing any time soon so I have to get on with it.

At least the planning will help you avoid my nightly "what am I going to eeeeeeeeat?" mini meltdown as I check my macros and calorie allowance on MFP

Planning is such a big help for me. I work it so I still have points left over after dinner if I want a snack or something else/a drink. Or in this weekend’s case, a whole bottle of Prosecco :mog:
