I’ve replaced my Clinique Even Better Glow foundation. I’ve been getting loads of compliments whenever I wear it that I look glowing and fresh, so it’s a must have. There were samples of the new ID thing available so I’ve chosen the jelly + the blue one. I think it’ll just be a little sachet to try. There were other deals on so I’ve bought a lip gloss set to give as a birthday gift to my friend.

Is that what Nadine Baguette did a video about the other day? She was showing a selection of things you put into ddml to add actives and make it more than just a moisturiser.

Yes, I’d imagine so. There are three different bases, and five cartridges you slip in to target particular things.

Those look good, Pip.

I’ve ordered the Drunk Elephant retinol, because I bloody would, wouldn’t I?

I am interested in the cartridge idea but I'm not a fan of ddml. DE retinol looks fab but I might get a small Paula's Choice one to try out.

There’s DDML or the Gel version or the hydrating jelly, so you’re not forced to use the weird yellow stuff.

Interested in finding out how this compares to Sunday Riley retinol stuff.

Ok, so I tried it on Thursday evening. The reviews said to be careful with it because it’s stronger than it appears (because it’s quite a rich cream), and it did feel quite tingly, and my skin felt a little dry the next morning. I only used it the once, and then went back to my usual products (no strong acids or anything), planning to try again after 4 or 5 days. Anyway, when I got home today I saw that I had small sheets of skin just peeling off all over my face, especially round the nose. I was not expecting that .

I won't lie, I'd probably be quite pleased with that effect. :)) Instant peel! Unless you're inflamed under the sheet. :look:

Yeah, I think it’s ok (and hopefully indicates that it’s doing something), but I was surprised that it took 4 days to happen. I need to time my next dose with that in mind. Might have to be tomorrow, actually (?)

I think AMR also overdid the DE retinol (she used it daily for a while). It sounds pretty strong, which is good, I suppose.

I saw that she’d used it, but somehow missed that it was four days in a row . Ouch.

God, just looked in the mirror before going home, and even more of my face is peeling off . I might not use it this evening after all :uhh:.

I pointed out my “beard of peeling skin” when I got home, and S was like yep- why would you do that?

Making the most of the Nuxe offers, I’ve just ordered a supersized rose petal micellar water for £10 and a supersized body lotion for £6. I’m coming to the end of my stashes of both items so it’s time to buy again.

I didn’t like the ingredients (or the name, or the personality :))). I’m not sure why- usually that means shea butter or coconut oil.
