It’s in planning (so essentially playing with data and strategy :weewee: )

Agh, this has been a great couple of pages, congratulations everyone! Chicky, dream job! And Wendy I bet it felt like more than 13 weeks, I'm glad you can relax now.

I've got an informal interview type thingy on Tuesday for my third client which is exciting because it means I'm actually running my own business and it feels ace to be in charge!

Hmm, I have a job decision to make, about whether I want to go back full time (I'm currently working 3 days a week).

We have a lottery funded 5 year development for our town, Mr H is chair of the project, and I have been helping them out with admin and finance until the funding to employ someone properly came through. Just to get the project off the ground really, as everyone is working in a voluntary role around their actual jobs.

I have been doing a few extra hours here and there on my days off, but hadn't considered the paid role as they thought it may be four days a week. However, it now looks like it will be two days a week, they are really happy with the work I've been doing, and they are strongly encouraging me to apply for the role.

So, hard decision to make. I have a good work life balance at the moment, but the extra money would be nice, and it's a really interesting project that I'm invested in anyway, as Mr H would still be leading it. However, I've only ever worked for the private sector, so there would be a steep learning curve there, plus being completely honest I've never been massively career or money orientated, as long as I have enough to get by.

I was quite looking forward to being able to hand it over to someone else, as some of it can be quite hard. I think it would be different if I was actually being paid for it though.

I'm just mulling it over really, I'm almost hoping someone amazing applies and takes it out of my hands!

I would go for it. If you really don't like it after a few months, you could always leave.
