I bought this apple. It doesn't do anything it's just pretty. It's Studio Ahus, which is Swedish, made in 1984.

Look at the apple! I love it. Where did you find it, Bean?

I got it on eBay, Toast. But I was looking because I'd been to an exhibition of Scandinavian interior design at the Manchester Art Gallery and there was a lot of lovely glass.

It reminds me of my glass christmas tree, Bean. I think that’s Swedish too. I can’t wait to be reunited with it (assuming it has survived the shipping container!)

My vase arrived! We’ll gloss over how much it cost in postage & customs fees.

I missed this. Thank you!Toast wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 1:42 pm The shade is Lamp Room Grey, Lora. I think it has slightly green undertones which is what I wanted but does look more grey in some lights. I think it would look lovely in a bathroom.
I didn't do the painting myself but the person who did wasn't a huge fan of the Valspar paint, saying he preferred Dulux, if that's helpful.

I got a little plant and pot for the outdoor table. And a new seating area too (the place was having an opening sale so we got a great deal) I want to get some nice bright outdoor cushions for it too.

That looks wonderful, Est!
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

It's far from stylish, and now I've finally got it up has pretty much guaranteed us a shit summer next year, but at last I have a bedroom ceiling fan.

Looks good, Derek.
My most recent purchases have been the remaining lights for the house. I won't bore you with them all, but my favourite is this one which was actually an afterthought. There was a spot on the stairs where I wanted more light but there wasn't a socket, and this is USB charged and can be carried and placed anywhere. I like it so much I've ordered a second.

That’s so similar to my Fermob lamp, Rosa. They are so useful.
I hate (the look of) fans but at least that one won’t show the dirt, Derek

That's lovely Rosa!
Me too Emma, but needs must - if it saves me sleepless hot nights, I'll live with it.
