I don't know if this is the right thread, but I'd like to pick your crafty brains, please.
M got a set of stacking coffee tins as a Christmas present, and they are now empty. Not one to discard a potentially handy receptacle, I would like to repurpose it, probably for knitting bits and bobs, but maybe to put things like cotton buds and 'things' in the bathroom, or some sort of foodstuffs in the kitchen.
Anyway, I quite like the overall pattern, but the brand labels on the front, and the instructions on the back are not removable, so I'd need to cover them in some way. Bearing in mind that I am quite cack-handed, does anyone have any good ideas for how to do this, and with what?
I briefly considered knitting fair isle 'socks', but this wouldn't work as the tins stack and the knitting would stop them from fitting inside one another. If I did 'sleeves' instead, they would be likely to fall down, and be a pain, so I've gone off that plan. Does anyone with more imagination than me have any ideas?
