It really is. The rooms are ok, high ceilings etc, but the windows are really oddly placed.

That would have been a one bed flat originally, bedroom 2 on the floor plan would have been the kitchen. Tenement flats often have a long narrow bathroom so I've seen a few that are shower rooms but who the hell thinks a mirrored wall is a good idea in a bathroom!

I quite like that. The flooring is lovely.

I wasn't quite sure which board to post this on. This is my California-based cousin's bathroom, apparently. I just looked at that bath and thought, "why???"

I don't understand the contraption on the left hand wall either. I can't be a shower can it?

Jet controls for the bath?

My bathroom upstairs has a mirrored wall, previous owners install I can’t wait to get rid of it. Mini hates it because she doesn’t want to look herself when she’s on the toilet. 😂

Is it one of those walk-in baths for the aged or disabled?

I’d like to think the glass panel rises up electronically to form a shower screen. I mean, obviously that’s ridiculous but I like the idea.

I reckon they got it cheap because it's a display model used to film ads with a sexy woman using the bubble function :))

It’s also tiny! “Look at me as I seductively crouch in this only-slightly-bigger-than-a shower-tray space. Do I look like Dita Von Teese as I lever my legs around?” :flirt:

Seriously, I think it's a walk-in bath designed for people who can't get in and out of a normal one. There are adverts for them on ITV3 :granny:. I assume you open the glass bit, sit in the bath on a shelf or something so you can stand up easily, fill the bath, then empty it before opening the door again to get out.

Those are usually higher aren't they? So that people don't have to get right down to use them. There doesn't appear to be a door either?!

Yes, most have a small door-like bit and higher sides.

There's nothing particularly strange about this house but the first photo is an object lesson in EA photography. It looks so nicely set back from the road.

Reality: and yes, that is a very busy main road linking Woking with Guildford.

I'd be forever expecting a lorry to fumble the turning and plough into my house :twitch:.

What’s the point of doing that? Anyone who views it is just going to be instantly disappointed & therefore less likely to make an offer?!
