E had hers last week, with no side effects. Trying to get her to stay still was the main battle.

Mine both had their first shot on Monday and were totally fine afterwards. No side effects at all.

Both the chaps are double-vaxxed now. The SAM just had a sore arm both times, N was a bit achy and under the weather. Mostly thrilled because he had his second last Sunday and they told him he wasn't allowed to do PE the next day.

Whereas F is dead cross with me because he got double jabbed just before school started back and now the vaccination clinic is coming to school, he doesn’t get to miss any lessons thanks to me :ella:
No side effects although he did come down with a migraine exactly one week after. That might just be teenage hormones rather than side effects though.
I genuinely feel a bit more relaxed knowing at least one of my two had been double jabbed.

Good to hear of all the mini-Turtles getting vaxxed. A has been the Queen of Whinge today. I'm hoping it's a side-effect and not her actual personality now. If it is just her, I'm sending her back. I kept the receipt. :))

BM got her blue letter! I was quite surprised because she’s only 9, but she’s getting it early because I’m on the list to get mine early.
She’s booked in for this Saturday- she wasn’t best pleased at the news, but L has booked in for his booster the same day, so we’re hoping she’ll be able to watch him get his done, and that will make it less scary. Last time she was near a needle was four years ago when she had to get a lot of blood taken, so I’m hoping in comparison it won’t be anywhere near as bad.

Oh that's good news, Vigs! A was a bit scared of the needle too, but relaxed once she realised it didn't hurt, so hopefully BM will be OK too.

Re: Covid vaccines for kids
BM got her first dose this afternoon and she was an absolute champ! I picked her up from her Dad’s at 11 and she hadn’t really had any breakfast, so although we met all the staff (who made a MASSIVE fuss of her
) when L got his jag and got a an idea of the process, she wanted something to eat and come back for her proper appointment.
One McDonalds and a supermarket sweep of The Works art supplies later, and she went back in for her appointment and barely flinched. I had such strong memories of having to hold her right when she was getting blood taken when she was younger, I nearly cried with relief when it was over

How's she feeling, Vigs? George has a sore arm after getting his 2nd vaccine this morning. He did feel a bit unwell after his first (only that evening and the next day) so I'll keep a close eye on him.

E just got her second jab. Nothing but a sore arm so far and fingers crossed it stays that way because she starts at her new school tomorrow.
Poor A has to wait 12 weeks until he can have his second one now.

Pete’s been offered a jab as she’s a vulnerable child but I will have to speak to her cardiac team now as she’s had covid so she might have to wait a lot longer.
Poor A, Edith!

It's 28 days post covid for jabs, Cluef. I don't know if there is specific advice for vulnerable people though. I hope the cardiac team can give you some clear advice rather than leaving you to balance all the probabilities.
I've managed to book J in for his second jab. 12 weeks feels like a long time from the first.

Crikey Edith - that was fast school switching! Good luck to her for tomorrow and hope she feels ok.
George still has a sore arm and said he felt a bit cold but he's feeling ok.

Oh, I missed that Edith. Good luck for E tomorrow and I hope she's much happier.
How come poor A? Isn't 12 weeks the standard gap?

Yes, he was just getting to his 12 week ‘standard gap’ date and then he caught covid. The website says he needs to wait 12 weeks after the positive test before he can have his next jab.

Thanks Lora. The clinic have put her down as a yes so I’m going to ask her consultant about it tomorrow.

BM’s letter said eight weeks for the second jag - if that works out shellytbe double jagged by the time we go to the Netherlands in April
She went straight to her Dad’s and he’s texted to say she’s got a bit of a sore arm but is otherwise fine - obviously still bracing for her to come home this evening and suddenly be in agony/feel awful etc etc :))
