I'm AB+ and haven't yet had it. It's only a matter of time.

It's ripping through the vets at the hospital at the moment.

I’ve also not had it and am O-. Mr C also hasn’t had it and he’s A+ but he hasn’t been out as much as me.

I have no idea what types the offspring are, nor me.

I haven't knowingly had COVID, nor has SB2.

I’m O Neg and I was the second person (out of all of us) to come down with it when we all got it at Christmas.

Yes and you're terrible if you don't! :)) No, I only know mine because I'm A- so had to find theirs out at birth due to whether I needed the anti-d injection or not.

I only know mine cos they routinely check it when you’re knocked up here.

J’s best friend from school’s mum has just messaged me to say he’s tested positive this evening. I kind of feel it’s a case of when not if here now. Though we are all four fully vaccinated. I only have one RAT to hand so will purchase some more tomorrow.

My MIL has got it. She's 97, so it's worrying. So far, she says it's just like a cold, but for the past few years colds have knocked her sideways, so I'm concerned.

Thanks, cluef. She thinks she's 27, so she won't let it stop her, but it's not good.

I finally tested negative on day 13. D caught it on day 9 but not sure if it was from me or a ping he received. Thankfully we've both had it mildly; first time for us both.

I hope your MIL is ok, Morgs.

The hull has finally been breached here after two years! Mr R has it. So far it's just been like a nasty head cold (initially he thought it was his usual tree pollen hayfever). I'm still testing negative at the moment....

For the spreadsheet his blood type is B+ and I haven't a clue what mine is.

My mum's in hospital following a heart attack last Wednesday and she had covid symptoms this Wednesday and tested positive yesterday. I'm here in her flat waiting for her to be released, I've not been to visit due to covid being rife in the BRI and I'm also helpfully really vulnerable due to COPD.

They said today that she'll be kept in till at least Monday. I've no idea what the rules are (or what's left of them if anything, I understand everyone can now do what they like and lick people etc even if positive) as I was shielding and have pretty much continued to do so.

Should we be hoping she'll test negative before coming home? Should I abandon here in a hurry or stay? Wtf. No idea what to do.

Fuck, Vegas! I have no idea. Something similar happened to my aunt. Her partner caught it hospital. He's a dialysis patient so super vulnerable and she's in her 70s with diabetes and yet they still almost sent him home after a couple of days. In the end they relented more for his sake than hers but fuxache.

What a nightmare, you poor thing.

Some more thoughts. Are they threatening to discharge her on the assumption that you can provide care? In other words, can she manage alone? If the answer to the former is yes and the the latter is no then you need to tell them there needs to be a care package in place before they discharge her. That you can't provide care.

This is based on my experiences with my Dad and others on his ward when he was in hospital for ages. They cannot discharge someone who can't look after themselves into a situation where there is no care. For obvious reasons they lean hard on relatives to say they can provide care but if you can't, you can't.

That will buy you time, at least.
