Same. I've been trying to wear some outdoor clothes a bit more but then I think they'll be subjected to unnecessary frequent washing and they'll wear out quicker.

Lego man that gave me PTDS to the day my entire department dressed up as Lego people. Sounds like a fever dream but no this is my life.

Anyway, bootcuts. I picked up a pair of bootcut jeans over the summer and they are so flattering on but I’ve only worn them once as I can’t bring myself to wear them. I don’t know if it’s my age or overall style but I feel like a throw back rather than at the forefront of fashion.

I'm going to show my complete lack of fashion sense but how many people will actually notice them and think "they're so 90s"? I wouldn't; I didn't actually realise they'd gone out of fashion. :)) I say, if they suit you and you like them, do it! If enough of us do we could bring them right back in. Start a bootcut revolution! Be the change you want to see!

I think they are a classic style by now. What you wear with them and how well they fit makes a big difference too as to how stylish they can look.

Yes, Pip! Although I still think I will avoid. They take me back to a mumsy time when I had just had Monk and felt very out of sorts.

Probably because skinnies had just come in and I hadn't relinquished the bootcuts quite yet.

I tried this on before Christmas and really loved it. I need a smart black jacket, but given this is velvet would it go with anything? It's more expensive here than in the shop where I tried it so I couldn't get it until next month. the one I tried was blue, so beautiful it made me want to cry, but that wouldn't go with much.

I am seeing Pink trousers everywhere. I don't think it is particularly middle-aged, more of whether you can style them. I think You could definitely do that with those.

I always get pulled towards pink this time of year, I think it's the valentine advertising. Maybe wait until after next Tuesday? Having said that, I really like them.
