I'm so glad it went well! Is that an outcome you were expecting?

Re: Sedated Monday
I was hoping it'd be something treatable like that, I've had the stuck feeling for a few years, so I hoped that meant nothing serious.

Re: Sedated Monday
I’m glad it’s easily treatable. Annoying that they probably could have fixed it years ago though.
When I got home today Cube was in the front garden with two friends and Betty was in the back garden with two friends. They both raced to the car to ask if their friends could come in. :bob:
I’m used to being the house the kids congregate in but not at the same time. They can’t use the bedroom as they share and there are arguments so one set is in the kitchen and the other has moved the Xbox to the living room and taken that over. All I can smell is teenagers
Luckily I was roasting a gammon so I made that stretch to the boys with pitta and salad. We’ve had it with mash and the girls have all had noodles with a lesson on how to use chopsticks.
I was looking forward to a quiet evening.

Re: Sedated Monday
Glad it's something that can be sorted, Sal.
I've had a funny day. Mo wouldn't wake up and was sort of drooling so I had to rush him up the vet. They can't see anything but he does have a really high temperature and probably some infection somewhere. So he's had a high dose of antibiotics and hasn't still drank any water but has eaten two dreamies :(
And right now my very good friend and her cat are on the way to the vet as her cat has reached a good old age and is dying. It's been a really emotional day.
I've had a curry and some wine and will hit the sack with Search Party in a bit.
Kleio, it's lovely to be the house that the children feel welcomed in (cost and hassle not withstanding). I never took anyone home.

Mo is not allowed to be poorly! That sounds so worrying. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon and he’s back to normal.
I always have extras! Ones just turned up because they have a music assessment tomorrow and we have a concert keyboard so they wanted to practice. I do kick them out when I’ve had enough though as sometimes they’re still here at 9! One of them always turns up at meal times

Oh yes, I need to be in bed early, not hosting extra children.Kleio wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 7:36 pm Mo is not allowed to be poorly! That sounds so worrying. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon and he’s back to normal.

Re: Sedated Monday
Evening all, though it’s mid-afternoon here.
I’m glad your appointment went well Sal, and hope the treatment is swift and effective! You are a saint for being a haven for all those kids, Kleio.
I’m having an ok Monday, an early clutch of meetings but quiet now, well one more and then done. I’ve been wandering into the living room and marveling at how clear it is now 98% of the unpacking is done. The best new of all is that my sofa is finally scheduled to arrive on Thursday! I just need to make the charity shop pile disappear before then but I’m quite excited.
I’ve got a singing lesson after work and then I am going to bed early IN MY ACTUAL BED!! It took me two sweating hours to assemble yesterday and the help of about a dozen large books. But I am VERY proud of my efforts. And now desperate for lovely new bedding

He's much better today, thank you, though still not eating hardly a thing. He was well enough to completely annoy me at 5am this morning and to chase Scout.Bat Macdui wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:10 am I'm glad it all went well, sal. I'm a bit worried about lovely Mo now though. :(
