Half relieved, just need this house sale to go as smoothly!
But yes, I can't wait to pick the keys up tomorrow and get in and start making it ours.

How are you settling in Bramble? I hope you’re making the most of those cabins.
I’m officially on this merry go round now. We had our first open house on Saturday and had a (low ball but within the price guide) offer today.
There’s another open tomorrow and 2 of the couples are coming back.

Don't ask! I'll do an update when I have headspace. Working in the cabins is good at the moment. They may need insulating for winter but we'll cross that bridge.Scooter wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 11:31 am How are you settling in Bramble? I hope you’re making the most of those cabins.

Re: House Buying Is More Stressful Than Divorce, Death or Bankruptcy
I hate this. Another open and the 2 additional offers are not coming in. So now I have an offer which is £10k (ish) under what I wanted. But it’s a cash buyer. So now it’s a waiting game. The agent is going back to them to see what more they can add, and then we’ll need to decide if we’re happy with that. It’ll leave it with approx. £7k on our land loan and then we’ll have to finance the build (which should be fine).
Is a slightly lower cash buyer a better option than a chain? Am I willing to risk a sale for what is objectively not a huge amount?
talk me down people!!!

Chains are not a thing here, Scoots. It’s all about conditions - what have they said did going unconditioned? I guess only building and pest? Which is usually 7 days. Also how does their settlement date in the offer line up with what you need?
