I always feel sick after any vaccine but the flu and covid booster combo was the worst. I get all vaccines on a Friday when I have no Saturday plans and take to the couch for the day. Easier for me though as my kids are grown so I don't have to worry about childcare and Mr.5 is like LM and never is poorly so does the cooking.

It’s four weeks between Covid and vaccine here.

Ah I didn't know this. It had been three months though I thought?

I had my flu jab last week and felt nothing from it not even a sore arm. My covid jab is in a couple of weeks.

I think it was three months between vaccines. When I was volunteering at the vaccination centre, we had to ask if they had tested positive in the last 28 days.

It definitely used to be 3 months, I remember from scheduling in the kids’ vaccines way back when.

I had the Pfizer vaccine 10 days ago and felt crappy for about 24 hours, plus a sore arm. But nothing a couple of paracetemol couldn't fix.

I asked about it and was told it used to be three months but now it’s four weeks! I felt so bad this morning I did a covid test thinking I must have caught it again, but it was negative.

Hmmm. I’ve been cold and shivery, headachey and generally achey all day, nauseous, don’t want to eat anything, knocking back the hot ribena, and worst of all, I’ve just cried at an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond so I am feeling generally sorry for myself.

None of the classic Covid symptoms yet though

Aren't those classic symptoms? I had all that on Friday apart from the nausea and tested positive on Saturday, pal. :(

Marvellous. Not cold any more and my headache is gone but more symptoms of the new variant this morning. Happy days!

Mind you, the amount of times I've had a cold and thought it must be covid and it never is..

Definitely worth a test though.

I had Pfizer along with the flu jab on Monday and, other than a slight headache, I've been fine.

I was surprised at how quiet it was. This was at my local hospital and there was a receptionist, three vaccinators, and just me for the 20 minutes or so I was there. Maybe it's busier at other times (this was midmorning), but it did make me wonder what the take up has been, and whether they should start offering the vaccine to more groups.

Also, this is interesting.

Oh, I feel better now for the double jab decision! And my extreme reaction must make me a walking talking antiviral.

I wish Mr R and I could get it. More for him than me. He's got a crazy few months coming up, doing back to back theatre and some properly silly commuting right through winter.

I mean, if I stretched the point about my Mum I could qualify us but technically I don't think we fit a category. She's almost 80, immuno compromised (Crohn's meds) but while we usually see her every week we don't live with her ("household contact")or "provide care" since she's basically well. That said I'm an only child and if something were to happen....

We paid for flu jabs earlier this week so at least that's done.

I wish they would open it up to everyone again. Surely there are enough people who don’t want it to have enough for everyone who does.
