I’ll never forget the year Squeak wanted a “box of fucks”. We had to watch her watching TV for ages to catch the advert to see what she meant. It was a magic set.

That's excellent, Pip!

The school bus lady gave A a toy catalogue. It didn't help much, as she suddenly decided she wanted Peppa Pig stuff again, even though she never plays with her existing extensive set of Peppa Pig stuff anymore. And then she wanted 'baby' stuff... :ella: there was a lot of steering away involved.

A is getting a laptop this year and L is saving up for a car so just wants money. Dull but easy.

One year Tupac came home from nursery in late December with a cut out of a “red racey car” he absolutely wanted from Santa, which from the picture was one of those obnoxious sit on cars that are c. £200  however I managed to get him to explain what size it was, (hopeful it was Hot Wheel size) and it wasn’t, and long story short I had to buy a scale replica of an red Audi TT for £50 from eBay with additional rush postage which I’m sure many collectors would have wept over when they saw the battering that it got from a 2 year old  he was very happy though :look:

Awww I'm glad you could make the red racey car happen.

:mog: at the box of fucks and £350 VR headset.

Cube's list consisted of:

4 tracksuits with matching t shirts that were approximately £250 EACH
The same £350 VR headset thing (meta quest 3)
A football goal plus loads of training equipment
A gilet for £750
£450 worth of jackets for Iceland
Plus aftershave, a battery operated razor and toothbrush, gym equipment...

I'm not sure when he thinks I won the lottery.

I'm still patiently awaiting wish lists. B is waiting to see what he gets for his birthday first (fair), and R is trying to narrow down which expensive item she will ask for.

Ken, your kids are gaslighting you!

:weewee: I've bought them both a mini Kat Von Dee eyeliner and a day of the dead sheet mask.

This is much more exciting.
This IS exciting!

Warning on the VR headset requests.....we did it last year as a 'family' gift and it barely gets used :ella:

Mine just circled things in the amazon catalogue that came this year. I asked L to write a list and he wrote the same things down on a piece of paper  then I said the same to S and he got on my laptop and put things straight in my amazon cart

The theme here seems to be lego and hot wheels (which I feel they have grown out of a bit but I will probably indulge) and then L really wanted a minecraft cat pillow that purrs but it was sold out in a heartbeat. He's really fixated on getting a pet and honestly I think a purring fuzzy thing might be quite comforting for him so I went ahead and got a different thing that's more of a therapy/emotional regulation thing so hopefully it's not a waste of money.

I also decided to try S on Calvin and Hobbes.

We’ve handed our letters directly to Santa this afternoon so they are now committed on that front

Barcelona Kit and Rainbow Friend cuddly for Tupac
Cat Noir outfit and some marvel figures for Biggie

All are wrapped and waiting so that is sorted :))

Oh you’re right - looks like they are all coming from China though so wouldn’t be here in time.

Clearly L is reading my mind as he got up first this morning and hooked up the VR stuff!

😂 Ken, your kids are totally winding you up. That’s hilarious!

We are in Australia for Christmas so I needed to stick to small (in size) things so they would fit in our cases.

S (aged 7) has a kids FitBit and a supercar day where he can ride in three cars around a track.

F (aged 10) has a new set of Le Mieux riding clothes (top and hat silk in spruce green) and beige jodphurs which she has wanted forever.

She also will be given Taylor Swift tickets! I cannot believe I managed to get some for closing night in London. They were VIP packages, so pretty pricey and I didn’t want to just hand them to her so they will form part of her Christmas gift. I got a foil ticket made off Etsy and will stick it in a Merry Swiftmas card.

Stocking presents have been trickier this year. Robux, Pokemon cards, Hot Wheels and LED lights are the highlights for S.

Skincare, Miss Melody design books, a riding hat bag and jewellery feature for F.

I usually do sweet stockings for them as well so need to sort those!

Ooooh, VIP package tickets! Niiiiiice! Well that will get some reaction. You must be so excited! :yay:

I managed to get rid of the VR headset nonsense. :)) Instead he asked for Lego Technic, a Roblox gift card and freeze dried candy. R has a jewellery box, jewellery, perfume, Lululemon and some fancy hair and makeup bits.

I think I'm pretty much done. Although I may pop out to buy a V8 engine building kit for B tomorrow, because I feel he needs something else.
