Me again. Still here.
Not feeling any better but a very nice doctor from the renal team came to see me this morning and she said they thought it was an infected liver cyst.
They're going to start me on a course of broad spectrum intravenous antibiotics and try to move me to the renal unit when a bed becomes available in a couple of days.
Honestly she was so nice.

Lordy that sounds horrible. I’ve had fatty liver stuff going on which has made me feel duff at times but an infected cyst must be godawful. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon x

Re: Testing times - Covid in 2022
Thanks all. I have an MRI booked for my bile duct tomorrow at 11.
The antibiotics have kicked in and I do feel a lot better.
I think they want to see if the cyst is actually blocking my bile duct and what they'll do if it is.
As polycystic liver disease is fairly rare, Steve (the consultant) got all excited reading my notes this morning.
I'm still hoping a non-surgical solution is the answer.
They've promised to try to parole me for Christmas.

I hope you get sprung in time for Christmas, Tsu! Being in hospital must be a logistical nightmare with the journalist not being able to drive.

Oh Tsu. That’s no good. I’m glad you had a nice doctor and hope you can get home soon.

All of that bile building up inside you without you being able to fire it out anywhere must be a nightmare.

You have no idea!
The Journalist has bought a bus pass and got up extra early this morning because I said I fancied a Pret egg and avo baguette. If I tell you he's been magnificent I wouldn't be overstating it.

Being moved to renal this morning. I really need a shower but can't get my cannula wet so I'm hoping a solution can be found (perhaps using blue tak and sellotape
) before I show my bare arse to the radiologists.
