Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that. It really is impossible to sleep with your blood pressure and oxygen sats etc being taken all the time. I hope you get some answers and are released soon.

Oh no Tsu, so sorry to hear you've ended up in hospital. Again. Hope they soon figure out what's wrong with you!

Re: Testing times - Covid in 2022
So. I'm still in hospital. I was briefly discharged on the afternoon of December 20th with oral antibiotics only to be brought back in by ambulance on the morning of the 22nd. I think the oral antibiotics weren't working and I fell off a cliff. Luckily, The Journalist called the ward directly, they sent a district nurse out to do an emergency blood test and the rest is history. Unbelievably, my GP (it's flu, hydrate) suggested I go to the surgery for the blood test. I couldn't have made it to the bedroom door.
Anyway Christmas was pretty muted. The Journalist had to walk to and from on the 25th & 26th as there were no buses - an hour each way - and I had a bit of a meltdown in the shared ward because it feels like I've been here forever.
Renal consultant number three, nice man named Jason, said he's sure it's an infected liver cyst, he's seen thousands and treated hundreds apparently and the plan is now to finish the course of IV antibiotics and start a course of different oral antibiotics. My infection markers are still high and I'm anaemic and I've decided I'm going nowhere until I feel absolutely right.
I don't think I'll be playing golf again any time soon

What a rotten time you've had! I hope the antibiotics plan does the trick and you get well soon.

It sounds awful, I’m sorry.

Gosh, Tsu. That sounds awful, time goes so slowly in hospital as well. Sorry you didn’t have the Christmas you hoped for. I hope you feel better soon on your new meds.

I'm so sorry Tsu. Get well soon, I'm sure this course of treatment will see you right.
I'm much better but still exhausted and really foggy. Mr D has spent the festivities in bed.

Re: Testing times - Covid in 2022
Briefly on the 30th. I came home with oral antibiotics but had a blood test on the 3rd and they kept me in so I'm still here.
Back on the IV antibiotics with a plan to go home again in a few days with either another different combination of antibiotics or they'll put a line in my arm and I'll have IV antibiotics at home.
Apparently though, the IV antibiotics at home regime depends on where you live and I don't know if I qualify.
Truly fed up now.

Oh Tsu, that's rubbish. How are you feeling, apart from in need of escape?
