Re: Items to which I am allured
I love wearing a dress, it's just so easy! A whole outfit, no thinking required. I'm wearing a lot of long dresses and knee boots at the moment too.
I like the shape of that dress and the colours but I personally wouldn't wear that print. I like it on the model though and think you could pull it off!

I think you could wear that print! I do like a Boden print.

I like it, you just need to lean into the 70s I think, like the model with her boots.
I have some dream high waisted flared jeans that I've never really been quite slim enough to wear comfortably, but ONE DAY I will have my 70s ensemble. I've been wearing a very thick cotton Seasalt dress which is a very similar cut, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Sadly can't find any more of them on VInted (it was from an English charity shop about 2 years ago).

I love that print Zoomer. It’s a great 70s dress style which I love.

I was actually thinking of sending it back and getting the plain navy. Might be more useful.sally maclennane wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 5:53 pm I have that dress in plain navy and I've just bought it in green print. It's very comfortable and I've had a few compliments on it. I say keep it and rock the print!
Gah! Thank you all, but I still can't decide.
I might have to be brave and show it to J. His feedback is always brutal.

If the style is really good on you, perhaps consider getting both the print AND the plain navy? :shoe:

Well, I just showed it to J and he shouted "Slava Ukraini!" so back it goes.
If my work trip happens soon, I'll get the navy version.

That reminds me of the tweet where someone said she'd worn a purple cape to a family funeral 10 years ago and her brother had called her Bishop Brennan ever since
I would NEVER ask my J for feedback on clothes

Sadly , due to a similar event to J's Slava Ukraini reaction, it was returned  It was my brother, not MrPG though, who obviously has never heard of LLB.

Me too! Exactly the sort of thing Mr D would say. He once asked me why I was wearing a curtain (new skirt) and I never really enjoyed wearing it again. Sold it on Vinted and obviously made no mention of curtains in my description!

Slava Ukraini has slayed me. :)) I love a Boden dress though, I really do. I have some right garish patterns from 'em, including a huge bird/tree print.

I really need to stop reading threads that make me spend money! Inspired by the Slava Ukraini dress, I have just bought my very first Boden dress. Can't wait till it gets here!
